No use, because all the people power in the world is not going to get us good leaders unless we ourselves change because let's face it, the problem with corruption here has a cultural dimension that cannot be ignored. That is why after three people power revolutions, we still have not managed to get a president who has not been corrupt. Yes, even Cory was corrupt because she turned a blind eye to the unbelievable corruption of her relatives (Kamag-anak Inc). People power revolt against Radaza, but who will replace him and are you sure they won't be as corrupt or more corrupt than he is? That's the problem, you can never be sure if the dish you get after the one you already have is crappier.
You are absolutely correct sir. That is why I pointed out that, it would take a people with the strongest political will and willingness to shed blood would be a turning point to this worsening political exercises of our fellows. People power just to oust the current leaders will not do. People power must be continuous. We, the Filipino people are sovereign. We must exercise our soveriegnity.
To tell the people to change themselves would not work iether. there must be a volume or group of people who shares common interests and great political will, to lead the people to our ever longed change. We can not work on this individually, as the saying goes... "United we will stand, Divided we will fall".
nice lagi photo ni harry radaza no... making the money sign.. bang ug modaog ang diretso, kwarta na ni?
Haha I don't know, I find your reference to bloodshed quite scary. Who is going to decide whose blood is going to be shed? You? Me? A fellow pinoy? NO THANKS. Like I said I don't trust myself with this power, why would I trust a fellow pinoy who I know will have the same cultural baggage, issues and flaws - that of being prone to abuse once in power and favoring relatives over unknown countrymen. The only way is if you kill all of us, because it is in our blood, it's in our way, it's in our culture this is who we are. Nobody can be trusted to clean things up, because nobody is innocent in a sense. So I ask, who will lead this revolution? You? Can I trust you or anybody? I don't think so.
I agree with you again on this. It's a question of trust, although there maybe exceptions to natural and cultural instincts of this generation like you said, but to trust in anyone is the hardest thing to do.
In this case, I believe, the cure to this sickness is nowhere in sight, except to accept that we are who we are.
So there's no sense in talking, criticizing anybody further. Because to this notion above, we are all the same.
