Hello there, its me again. I just wanna ask some suggestions on improving my network stability in a project that I'm working on. I'm not pro in networking but I know a few important cues in it. I don't have a CCNA either because I do not believe in certifications (no pun intended).
So here's the scenario: I have a program that is web based and 25 computers use it. I have a server that runs on Windows Server 2008 and is set to DHCP. I do not really have anything special with it, I just use the DHCP as a router. I have a D-Link 24 port switch too. The clients/computers are scattered around the place in great distances (10-30 meters) and ping/latency was never an issue. Whenever these clients access the server using a IP address, sometimes it responds instantly and sometimes it takes a really lengthy wait. This is concerning me, since the project isn't still in its last stages of implementation, this has already been bugging me and the people that tests it. I just want to make sure that when it is fully implemented, these factors should be eliminated.
So, what can you guys suggest to eliminate this threat? Am I missing some configurations in DHCP? By the way, the program runs on IIS 7 + ODBC(MSSQL) + PHP.
Thanks!
