accusations of the radazas being corrupt remain an accusation up to this date, in fairness to lapu lapu daghan sad nindot nabuhat si boy dri..

PELAEZ: in the past years na aware nako sa politics dri..karon lang ni nitunga ning apelyedoha, i dont know this guy..his entry to local politics only surfaced after his businesses where threatened by the govt. for failure to pay tax duties... his platform is fight corruption, where in fact he is doing corruption na, by not paying tax dues to goverment., is he running for mayor for a real deal to serve? or just to take revenge? so that his liability to the government of lapu lapu is considered solved. if he wins..

CHAN: he was a very loyal radaza supporter, he was one of his trusted men..then his personal motives took place and eventually broke away from the group and started barking like a mad dog against his former ally.
i personally dont like this type of character..he is not an HONORABLE man..

about pelaez, you've got your facts all wrong. Under the PEZA law, he paid his taxes diligently.in fact, he could show you hard evidence that he paid Php40-M worth of taxes annually. Under the PEZA law:

SECTION 24. Exemption from Taxes Under the National Internal Revenue Code. - Any provision of existing laws, rules and regulations to the contrary notwithstanding, no taxes, local and national, shall be imposed on business establishments operating within the ECOZONE. In lieu of paying taxes, five percent (5%) of the gross income earned by all businesses and enterprises within the ECOZONE shall be remitted to the national government. This five percent (5%) shall be shared and distributed as follows:

a)Three percent (3%) to the national government;

b)One percent (1%) to the local government units affected by the declaration of the ECOZONE in proportion to their population, land area, and equal sharing factors; and

c)One percent (1%) for the establishment of a development fund to be utilized for the development of municipalities outside and contiguous to each ECOZONE.

I would rather vote for PELAEZ than with Paz RAdaza because even in his private capacity, dako pa siyag agi, ug wala ni niya gipaka sigarbo. he already donated two school buildings and has given lots of scholarship grants to underprivileged students, but most of all, he has given thousands of jobs because of his business. at least ang sweldo sa iyang mga empleyado minimum, dili parehas ni Paz Radaza nga naay 4,000 kabuok empleyado sa CLEAN AND GREEN. 1,500 ra gani ang gipirmahan sa payroll, sus 500 ra pud ang ihatag. mao nay gikaingon na DERETSO SA ILANG BULSA...

that's true, but this is only the tip of the iceberg, more like an eye candy. if these people will remain in power, the drug-related crimes in our city will get worse than already is. imagina lang gud nang brgy captain, drug lord? i have no evidence but that's what everybody is saying in our brgy. i asked one small-time pusher in our area and he said adto daw sila magkomprahan ila ka kap.this is a heavy allegation but as i was saying.. and how about the district hospital? ingani nalang jud ni hangtud sa hangtud? walay tambal, walay gamit. ang mga ubang pasyente refer pa tawn sa sotto, hangtod ma DOA nalang nuon. and how about education? sa kita sa lapu2x na 1.2-B every year, we can have a community college just like Mandaue. i read one thread here na that is why ang mga politiko dili kaayo mo invest sa edukasyon kay ang tao nga kuwang sa kartiyo dali ra ma manipular ug mapalit. But the bottom line is, it's your choice.. the future of this city and the future of our sons and daughters are in our hands...
