nah.. bullseye!
I hope non-photographers can also read this... coz there are times that some of my clients would say... "Lit, i-photoshop amo'ng mga nawong ha?".... dili ko ma sakitan ani, but photoshoping faces is not my thing (and the 10 deadly PP sins)... hehehe.. photoshop is not my friend.![]()
Lito, how do you say, "No" to them? I've seen your lenses and they're all sharp. How do you get around the sharpness? I read one Photography on the Net member say that one of his clients' grandparents were disappointed that their faces were too let's say "unflattering" kay klaro ila pores, blemishes, wrinkles, ug nose hairs. Lisora pud ipahamis naong 70+ year olds oi.![]()
Hmmmm... Sayop ka. If they have the "i'll fix this later in photoshop" kind of mentality, dapat mag dSLR sila because of the RAW files, not point and shoot. PnS spits out jpegs, not good for photoshopographers, corelographers, gimpopraphers, lightroomographers and apertureographers. (although some "prosumer" PnS can and some canons with chdk like mine).
I see a lot of fake sun flares and selective coloring here in istorya.netThe one I hate the most is fake sun flares.
I'm guilty of
- too much sharpening (I usually sharpen for printing which I've kinda get control of already. But when I upload then to flickr, flickr does its own sharpening algo too. So some of my images turn out too sharp I had to redo them....... when I'm not in lazy mode.)
- over saturation (I saturate for printing, but flickr does its own saturation algo also. When not in lazy mode, I redo it for flickr. )
- heavy vignetting (vin-yet diay pag basa ani sa? OMG! how embarassing... )
- so so noob HDR attemps with too much halo. (and still an hdr noob up to now I'm avoiding it totally)
These are the things I'm very very careful of right now.
I mainly use Lightroom to organize my photos. Editing? Yup, clarity and vibrance just to give it some punch. Some occasional use of presets. Lightroom calls in Photoshop for photomerge since that's where lightroom throws its images when I select photos for the merge.
Bottom line, it's all fun read, something to get our minds off work
Thanks PChan for sharing![]()
I tell them the truth. "I don't know photoshop" Hehehe.
about sharp lenses, if you shoot at 2.8/3.2/3.5... its not really that sharp and DoF is a bit shallow. Capture in groups and capture moments. That way they won't focus on the grains and pores in their faces.but of course, depending on what kind of shoot are we talking about.

Correct! Mr. Inso just said it. And, you don't really need a college diploma to understand it.
...Capture in groups and capture moments...
O.T.
ako gyud ni gi Google nga word - Puritanism (no offense meant... nag nosebleed lang gyud ko)
[url=http://mb-soft.com/believe/txc/puritani.htm] PuritanismPuritans was the name given in the 16th century to the more extreme Protestants within the Church of England who thought the English Reformation had not gone far enough in reforming the doctrines and structure of the church; they wanted to purify their national church by eliminating every shred of Catholic influence. In the 17th century many Puritans emigrated to the New World, where they sought to found a holy Commonwealth in New England. Puritanism remained the dominant cultural force in that area into the 19th century.
