Considering you are on a 3-day trek. A liter of water is equal to a kilo of weight. Let's say for example you are carrying, at the least, 2.5 liters of water and that is already 2.5 kilos. Food/water to gear ratio should be 30/70. You brought 1.5 kilos of rice and a kilo of assorted food and you now have 5 kilos for your food & water.
If you can't carry this much weight for your sustenance on a long trip then you could not provide enough body heat to protect you at high altitude unless of course you have hired a porter to carry food for you.
Anyway you will experience light backpacking when these items are consumed slowly.
My normal base weight is 17 kilos. I could sustain myself by myself and I wouldn't mind the weight. I am old-school.
