I come to you now as an individual only with concern for this sub board. I don't know why people here think I'm being unfair or unjust, or "overlordish" when it is clear that those who are not being jerks in this part of iStorya.net are indeed being given the respect they deserve.

But I want to call your attention to the events that have transpired in this section of iStorya.net for the past few hours (or even days). This concerns the presence of certain individuals who have the clear intent of making the moderator of this forum "look bad" or punitive, all under the guise of "freedom of expression" or "trying to make sure nobody is playing god here".

Now, before the arrival of these individuals in this subforum, everything was fine and running smoothly. Now, due to the obvious maligned intent these individuals have, they have even resorted not only to multiple iStorya.net accounts, but also possible VBulletin trickery such as creating accounts with certain ASCII codes so that the moderator cannot even open up their account page and give them infractions.

So my question is simple--what do you guys want? Everything was fine before you came in here. Ano ba ang problema ninyo? Anong gusto ninyo? Again, if what you're wishing for is my removal as moderator of the Science section of iStorya.net, ilang beses ko bang uulitin na kausapin ninyo si Beor or Galadriel or Vern, kasi sila ang nag assign sa akin to moderate these boards. Ang hirap ba nito intindihin? If they want me removed, fine, why should I argue with that if they see it fit to do?

Grabe naman kayo. Sobra pa sa disrespect yung ginagawa ninyo eh. Ako ang inasign dito so dapat lang na sundin ninyo ang mga rules dine. Bakit ba ang titigas ng mga ulo ninyo? May mga unrealized/unmet childhood needs ba kayo? To the point that gusto ninyo paglaruan ang board (or this particular subforum) just to make yourselves get the feeling that you "accomplished" something?

I'm going to bring this matter up to the people concerned. You might feel smug thinking that you got your way in the meantime, pero ponder on your actions--ano ba talaga ang gusto ninyo i-achieve, and is the effort worth it? Mahirap ba ako kausapin? Hindi naman siguro.

I shall close the entire Science section indefinitely until these people realize I'm not trying to play games with anyone here. Anyone who attempts to start a NEW topic, I shall deem in league with those who keep perpetrating acts that have contributed to this situation. If you feel you are innocent in this mess, then I believe you have the intelligence, wisdom and patience enough to wait until these individuals cease all pointless activity in this subforum. Your silence should be interpreted as a "nay" to their carefree acts of endless pointless discussions and malicious intent in the subforum.

Now unless vern deems my action/decision too brash (even for him), this will remain in effect until I deem so. Meanwhile, use the time to reflect on your actions in this section of iStorya.net--were they really worth it and what sort of good does it achieve, kasi you keep on saying na kaya nyo gusto ng freedom dito sa Science section is that it's "good" for everyone. Again, try to define your definition of "good" and "freedom", and see if you're really doing any good or really after "freedom" here.

Simple request. All those who know what they have done to push me to this decision, will be persona non grata in these boards. If they insist on staying, I shall keep freezing the board until these individuals leave the board. This will happen effective now.

Your job here is to moderate, not to make people see things your way. You have spent too much time explaining yourself instead of moderating. You spend too much time explaining your methods. There is no reason why topics such as this should even be made. Tell people how it will be, give out infractions, and let God sort out the rest ... including people's feelings. Locking topics is not the way to open/close forums. I am re-opening the topics and I will moderate the forum myself. If you want to continue moderating the forums by actually moderating people and not by stooping down to their level and arguing with them, then send me a message, otherwise, I am taking you off in a couple days. I do hope you realize that topics such as these only prove to those that want you removed that they can get under your skin. They win, not you. Nobody feels sorry for you. They just think you weak.

I believe I've been moderating the forum to a good capacity. It's only when some specific individuals try to trick the system (i.e. multiple accounts, accounts that can't be banned) that gets my feathers ruffled. But you are right, the proper course of action was directing your attention towards the aforementioned individuals, and I thank you for taking care of that specific issue. Now that the thorn is out of my paw, I don't think I have any other qualms, for now.
