The one I had we took down to 30 meters and due to the water pressure you couldn't operate the camera anymore.
I'm not sure how much pressure the cameras can absorb.

If you are serious about underwater photography better get a housing made of Aluminum or anything thats hard and will absorb the water pressure.
actually Im not using my dslr anang g ilawma 30m depth? patay na! patay man gani ang relo
nindot jud ang housing sa aquatica solid kaayo

using a DLSR for those "shallow water" shots is nothing much of an accomplishment a point & shoot can't do. and unless ur seriously into underwater photography & w/ the technical skills in scuba diving then a UW rig & strobes for lighting is the thing for you. it doesnt matter how much the cost as long as your not just into it out of pure whim.
I dont use my cam nikon D80 with dicapac UW case on scuba diving. i only use i on the water surface, i like to get a split view photo of underwater, land, and sky. you cant do that with p&s unless with some special set up. Its also good in the swimming pool photoshoot. or when you are boating in the sea or river.

pwede pod invest nalang og small point-&-shoot nga waterproof. anyway, one doesn't necessarily really need such a bokeh, strobist effect, portrait effect, ultrawide angle effect, macro, monochrome effect, etc. applied under the water^^

I dunno its probably im not rich thats why even the though of taking my DSLR even on shallow dives still gives me the creeps. as in wala ko backup camera. fait gyud ni I found my passion in photography yet I dont have that much money to burn for it.

i suggest get the ikelight or any other DSLR underwater housing and not the digicrap. surely you wouldn't like to risk tens of thousands of pesos DSLR to a 4K alternative housing.

bought dicapac for 3.5k from gizmo and used it in one of my prenup. no problem.
every before use, test the case for leaks, put a cotton or tissue inside, then submerged it in the water and inspect for leaks.
then every after shot i inspect my cam for leaks just to make sure. i only use it on shallow waters like within 3 meters in the pool or sea...
