AMD isnt superior, Intel is still the king of Sales and Marketing. Most systems with a budget below 50 - 80 thousand prefer AMD, in which they can save and give more of their budget to other peripherals especially video card. But still depends on what is the main use of their system. Video Editing / rendering systems usually is powered by Intel Pentium 4. Since most applications are optimized for it.

A budget below P30k, Intel is no match.
For stability, both are the same. Depends on who assembled and configured the system.

Am just referring to our community here at istorya.net where in we really value our AMD CPU's and think it is really superior than INTEL.

I'm part of istorya ... and I always have owned ... and always will in the near future own an Intel. 3.2 GHz at the moment. My sister has a 2700+. No problems at all. It's just preference ... and for many ... price. When I got my system, the fastest AMD had was the 3200+. FSB was still not as high as intels dual pumped FSB ... and most of all, AMD CPUs did not have HT. Now AMD holds the speed crown. We can only imagine what changes will happen in a few months. A few years. As far who everyone should favor ... neither. We should value competetion. It is competetion that we benefit from. The speed crown will be passed from one to the other many times. For now it lies with AMD ... in a few months ... who knows?

Here in Hong Kong, most of the home users have Intel systems because Pentium are more recognized CPU brand to some oldies (old folks!). While AMD is for people like us who loves to tweak and play games... For the last two years most of my clients got AMD systems from me but before that happens there was some explainations how it performs over Intel. Most of them think that because Pentium do have the speed of 2.5GHz to combine with and onboard videocard on its motherboard they already a very fast system...

I agree with CrasHBURN's post above that Intel still dominating the market... For me I stick with AMD at the moment. AMD's 64-bit CPU are going nuts, impressive high-speed cpu are out for us to buy but we need some money!!!

They did not know that Amd is more better than Intel.

sLeePeR: no FX available here yet, same as the P4 EE. The P4 3.2/3.4GHz Extreme Edition is around 50-65 thousand (proc only). I'm sure Athlon FX will be priced lower but, goes more expensive because it uses Registered DDR Memory.

in short AMD jud ko hehehe! kai barato ra then.. nindot ug performance..
