    It is not for servers. It carries a Core i7 badge so it is for the desktop.
    A server version will come out though with a Xeon badge on it.

    Guys, tell me honestly.. if ever lang you get this 6 cores nah i7 980X unsa man gyud gamit ani when you already have a 4 core nah i7? is there a thing we can do daily nah mo require ug 6 cores or mag need ani ka daghan nah cores? just wondering.

    for average users, there's no practical use to it except for bragging rights...hehehe
    but animators, video editors, professional 3d artists and the likes, can benefit well from this.

    let's not forget the computer enthusiats, who will do what is takes to break the current world records.

    there's a significant improvement sa rendering speed sa mga slideshows nako compared sa una nga single core ra ako gamit.

    karon, Proshow Producer utilizes all 8 cores (i7 plus HT enabled) when rendering the slideshow into DVD.

    ang 30 minutes rendering nako sa una, 5 minutes na lang karon.
