chill mga peeps....give a little credit to comelec naman for this effort. progress is always a good thing.

if many of you are worried that anybody can easily hack into the system, then you're mistaken. with this kind of endeavor, the government usually hire the best consultants available in the industry. worst case scenarios are already mitigated in advance, like "hacking".

when you think of hacking, first you must have access to the system. how can you hack a system if you don't have access, right? so to prevent this so called hacking, the comelec can put policies and procedures in accessing the system. a good example of a policy is "dual access". no one is allowed to access the system alone. so with that kind of policy in place, hacking now is a step more difficult to achieve. and im sure there's a lot of these policies in place.

for me, i'm more worried on the transmission process. and that's another story.

also sa transmission, they claimed it is digitally signed prior to transmission. this is a very good thing. digitally signing is the electronic way of signing and sealing with a tamper-proof envelop in the paper world. so even the so called "hackers" can intercept it, there's no way for them to change the details inside it, because digitally signing is tamper-proof with still no known attacks against it.

what i'm worried about is that when the transmission mechanism fails. So there's a remote possibility that a major percentage of election returns won't reach the comelec. hmmm.....failure of elections?

hopefully if mo fail ang transmission nila sa globe ug smart sir.. masulbad ra sa last resort which is satelite signal... if mo fail pagyud naa man sad hard copy nga SDcard. then and SDcard d man mobasa sa lain machine kundi sa kana ragyud sa assign niya nga pcos then aside that naa pagyud security key.

you are referring to the machines nga dili secured. ma-edit ug basta2x. why nt help the government instead of fighting the government.

dispite the failures the government had with us(not all), why nt give them the benefit of the doubt.
