1. play the song for several times.
2. memorize the song and lyrics.
3. study the pattern or structure or technique sa drum style specially ang timing. When to roll, hapak sa cymbals and stop.
4. practice air drumming together with the song.
5. play it on an actual drum set.
Hope this helps bro, mao ni ako pirmi buhaton.
tnx au bro jah and mistersuave...
If you can hear the beat.... and the tempo..... you are a natural born drummer...
if not..... just love the music and all of that will ride on....
.. here are additional tips:
1. learn the structure of the song; verse, chorus, verse, bridge, chorus
2. since you're a beginner, listen to the drums first, coz you will get confused if you'll listen to the other instruments
3. associate the drumline with the vocals, since the vocals is the first and most obvious aspect of a song.
4. sing along with the song and do airdrums.
5. if you're already familiar with the vocal-to-drum relationship, try now the most essential partner of the drums, the bassline. Try to listen to the bassline of the song and analyze why the drumline is being made that way, in relation to the bassline. Well, this is for advance beginners.
.. by the way, what song are you trying to transcribe ?? Tell us so that maybe we can help you further...
wow!! mga idol
