@jiro im not much of an overclocker myself....i will be sticking with the stock settings on my future rig..

If you want rock solid stability at default settings, katong Intel H55 na lang sa PCX, tag 4.5k+ lang ata. Problema lang walay na niy PATA port

yeah go for i3 pero if u have more budget lahos nalang i7.

Go for I3 .... and H55 chipset its a lot faster than C2D.

Just be sure to spared budget for DDR3 add ons its a bit higher than DDR2.
RAM and VCRD.

Its obviously Core i3 wins when it comes to performance. New technology, got the advantage. i3 operates very cool and mostly why I recommend coz it is very energy efficient so don't hesitate getting i3 but if you can get the i5 or i7 coz it offers many cores of course and more cores are better than 1 right?
