    Default DisplayPort Monitors in Cebu

So, when we say DisplayPort, one thing that comes in directly in our mind is "Eyefinity". Yeah yeah the hundred dollar adapter bullcrap and all sorts. I've always wanted to try Eyefinity but with budget constraints, its a pipe dream. The hundred dollar adapter can already buy you a nice set of memory sticks, a ST50F, a 1TB hard drive, a good mouse or even a cheap-ass monitor for the benefit of Eyefinity.

Since DisplayPort is pretty fresh in the market, is there anyone out there who owns a monitor with a DisplayPort? Do you know where to buy monitors with DisplayPort here in Cebu? What's the brand and specifications?

That's a LCD TV right? And yes, it has a display port.

Just incase you guys don't know why ATI chose to put 2 dvi's, 1 hdmi and a display port is that the royalty fee of HDMI is expensive. That's my own speculation but I hope I'm right. Display port on the other hand, is free. If ATI placed plenty of hdmi ports then that would cost a lot of money. For sure, the 6-monitor eyefinity card that ATI has will be a lot expensive than you expected.

speaking of displayport ... amd's upcoming 890 chipset motherboards will include displayport like the ecs A890GXM-A black series. April looks promising - DH 500 series IGP + hexacore + displayport !
