Nikon D90 here i come!!!!! Marked date Feb27,2010!!!

This is all true but not quite complete info. Third party manufacturers like Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, etc, also have lenses with motors inside that will autofocus on the D40, D40x D60, D3000 and D5000. This is available only on their more recent lenses and may be a bit more expensive than similar lenses without built-in motors. Having said that, most lenses built for Nikon bodies nowadays are built with high speed motors inside. To me, buyibg a third party (non-Nikon) lens with a built-in motor tells me I am buying a new model of lens and not someold discontinued one although there are many old model lenses out there that are great. Just my 2 cents worth.
