a space shuttle is far different with a cessna 152 sir rodz...heheh...if im not mistaken, the 152's checklist would be close to nothing compared with what the shuttle crews skim bit by bit before liftoff...i dont have that much of an idea if there's a dead time where the crew would just wait for the shuttle to lift off or if they would still have their hands busy on checklists until the very moment the shuttle's boosters ignite...i havent ventured much in space flying...
The original the question was about boredom. I don't think there is such a thing in space flight--every moment will require one's full attention, even the waiting.
