    They will keep calling til departure time arrives. Only when they are at or past scheduled time of departure will they close the gate and dispatch the flight. One time at the check-in counter I was told my 5 PM flight would leave at 7 PM instead. So I left the terminal to have dinner elsewhere (the airport restaurants charge too much for such awful food). Unfortunately, the girl at the counter had given me the wrong time. The revised departure time was in fact 6 PM.

    When 6 PM came around my cellphone rang. The station manager was calling me, asking whether I would be boarding because they were about to close the gates. I told him I was told the flight would depart at 7. He acknowledged the mistake and told me I would be accommodated on the next flight, and I was. I was angry as heck at that stupid mistake and felt like suing the airline for all the anxiety caused.

    But the point I'm trying to make here is that the airline will exert a reasonable amount of effort to make sure the passengers don't miss their flights. Even to the point of calling me up on my cellphone (probably because they knew they'd screwed up).

    mao nang 1.5hrs before sa ako schedule naa nako sa waiting area. likay nalang ko sa ingon ani nga problema.
    regarding delayz... murag twice rako naka suway delay..pero sa tiger airwayz hinoon.. then 30 ug 40min delay ra.. ambot lang ngano cge na ka delay ila flight sa KL - SG nga flight

    wala pako problema sa cebu pacific.. sayo ko pirmi aron maka pili ko ug seat

    wala man gi state sa manager nila kung WHAT TIME sila ni balik sa airport terminal. nang laag pa cguro manga mini usa ni balik. i mean how long would it take to chow down lugaw!? shesh.

    nangwarta nasad. di mana sala sa airlines kay mu announce mana ang airlines kung departing na ba, or even while boarding. wala gyud sila sa airport at that time cguro.

    i really wish that i have the luxury of going to the airport 2 HOURS before the time like some people here.

    the issue here is NOT late passengers but cebu pacific's overbooking and accommodating a long waiting list.

    it is really frustrating to be bumped off your flight even if you arrived at the airport 1.5 hours before your flight.

    when it happened to us in Manila, about 15-20 people lining up at the check-in counter for the same flight were bumped off. i mean how is that logically possible?

    if it was mostly the passengers fault, then Cebu Pacific should have not been written about by countless columnists and reporters nationwide.

    sometimes, we should think for a second and be objective and not just relay our own experience and pass it off as a generality. we would even like to blame ourselves just to console ourselves and avoid blowing our top but we just can't because it was obviously not our fault.

    sa laktod pagka-storya, wala ni ma-issue ang Cebu Pacific for no reason.

    by the way, this also happened to us in Davao, SAME STORY.

    lami ni bawsan ang Cebu Pacific, when you go on a not-so-important trip, check-in ka 3 hours before the flight with 3-4 boxes of of recycled paper and then intentionally board the plane late. if they have to remove your baggage from the cargo, it would take them quite awhile to look for it and unload it making the flight at least 30 minute delayed and there will be a domino effect on all the flights that will use that plane.

    it would be unfair to the people on board but hey, it was unfair to the people who were early and got bumped off too.

    i would do this when I have the chance just for the heck of it.

    I've seen this before. The most likely scenario there is that original schedule was probably for a 180-seat A320 but for some reason the flight had to be switched to a smaller 150/156-seat A319. This is the airline's fault and should have been explained properly to the affected passengers. Those bumped off should have been compensated.

    Like I said, vote with your wallets. Take the business elsewhere.
