I take our dogs to the public beaches in Lilo-an on Sundays.

all my dogs love to swim in the beach! Ako husky, mu-inom ug saltwater sa ka excited hehe! Off leash namo ni sila. I just call them every 15 mins so they could have a fresh water break.

Very important, before letting your dogs swim-- make sure that dili init ang sand. That could really hurt their paws. Stay away from the harsh sun between 10am-3pm because dogs do get sunburned too. Ok ra basta cloudy. If they really can't help but swim, give them breaks so they could go back to the shade.

And yeah, bring lots of toys for them to play with!

If first time pa mu swim inyo dog, slowly introduce the beach. Ayaw ikalit. Sit on the shallow shore and just stay there for a long time. For smaller dogs, put them in your lap, but still half submerged in water and with their paws touching the sand. (so they feel stable).

Ako usa ka iro, na traumatized to siya because gipugos namo ug swim and kusog kaayo ug waves. Naka-inom siya ug daghan tubig. It took her awhile before she became confident swimming in the beach again.
