hahahaha mas nindot lage mio...dugay2x naman pd nang beat..wa lang sikat

i got this from friends who race bro.. bigger displacement man gud engine sa Mio, 113 compared to 108. By weight pud, 92 kgs ang dry weight sa mio while 97.2 kgs ang beat. That is like a small child imuha sakay if driving a mio. Mio also has lower ground clearance than beat. mga 300 mm ang difference.. this is significant sa drag coefficient sa bike.
dako pud ug stroke ang mio 57.9mm compared to beat's 55.
Re gear ratio - Mio has 2.399-0.829. Beat has 2.68-.85.. i'll explain this taking example the mio. assuming dili automatic, on first gear , 2.39 states that the engines drivetrain revolves 2.39 times for every revolution sa transmission. For the beat, 2.68 times pa siya. Meaning the mio engine needs less revolutions to start the motorcycle running.. unya considering dako ug engine displacemnt ang mio plus gaan pa gyud.. thats why paspas mu accelerate ang mio.
well you are very right sa compression ratio pud. it matters also.
Peace!
1. 5cc difference is irrelevant
2. power-to-weight ratio only matters in the double digits, but single-digits, NO
3. drag coefficient has nothing to do with ground clearance because if you'll be talking about ground clearance, thats downforce already
4. being a long-stroker is a disadvantage when it comes to acceleration, because you need to achieve considerable amounts of speed for your rpm to spool up para mugawas ang torque, we're talking about acceleration here
5. key word, bwelo sa transmission, the longer the gear ratios are spaced out, the more powerful the acceleration.. sa imo example you're talking about the rpm there which can be compensated by installing lighter plyballs
you need to drive a stock beat against a stock mio to know why.. no more guessing needed
dont get me wrong, i'm not a beat fan because i'm into underbones.. pero stock to stock mas kusog jud ang beat kesa mio because i've driven these two scooters a lot already because of my friends who own both scoots.. sa topspeed ra mubawi ang mio pero kung 0-60 or 0-80 sprints, its the beat that shines

in addition to my latter post:
re gear ratio; at high speed Mio has .829 while beat has .85. Sa mio, an engine revolves .829 times for a single revolution sa transmission. Meaning the transmission is rotating faster than the engine. Ang beat .85 man, meaning taas pa ang ituyok sa makina sa beat for a single transmission rotation.
saypo tong imo assumption sa gear ratio bro..
tnx
tnx

ok bro noted. but a 5cc and 5.2 kg difference is very significant if we are talking about scooters. dili na irrelevant.. Formula 1 man gani, several grams matter. Downforce is very important in 0-60 drag. look at drag racers in the US. more emphasis is apllied on bringing the cars pull more force downwards. Mutaas ang drag coefficient sa vehicle if taas siya kay more air is passing under it.
dili RPM nang ako giyawyaw sa latter post bro, gi mais2x lang nako explain ang gear ratio.
but also, mu drive nya kog beat to clarify it..
tnx
1. a typical Formula 1 car has 0.9 kw/kg power-to-weight ratio while your mio only has 0.08 kw/kg.. kana pa lang daan you'll know why irrelevant ug redundant ang claim nimo nga 5cc ug 5.2 is significant.. in the 1st place dry weight is never a basis for pw ratio, its the curb weight so you should take into account the fuel tank capacity, rider/tandem weight
2. downforce is concerned lang sa directional stability and resistance to lateral roll or yawn for 4-wheeled vehicles.. walay downforce ang mga motor.. ayaw intawon hisgot ana bro kay scooter ra ato subject.. and we are not into dragrace either.. acceleration is not just about twist and go full throttle until sawa, its about the ability to recover from a standstill or to break away from a certain speed

ok bro.. nice forum.. gawas usa ko office.. peace!
dont get me wrong, im a mechanic by profession and i know what im saying.. sa scooters man gud, you have to compensate the ratio according to the stroke because it is a CVT tranny, kay kung dili mabugto ra ang crankcase kay dili maka apas sa tuyok sa engine.. but yet again, acceleration is not about how short the final reduction is, ayaw intawon kalimti ang initial reduction sa engine (front sprocket sa mga underbones), the higher the initial reduction, mas taas ug space ang ratio sa lower end sa torque band, which is around 4000-6000rpm, mao mas makalahutay sya sa ug hatag torque at a lower rpm..
