maka yatap jud ni ug naay na igo, but why sa states jud ma hulog. Is it that the states is too big to miss compared to the phil? What about diri sa Phil. do we have the same experience?
Area of Land mass of the continental US: 9,629,091 sq. km.
Area of Land mass of the Philippines: 300,000 sq. km.
Do the math.
In addition, we are an archipelago, not one big land mass, so the chance of a meteor falling into the sea between our islands is more likely to happen than landfall.

wow.. belib ko sa naghimo sa salog sa iya examination room.. imagine nahulugan bato gikan sa langit nga hastang kusoga sa impact nya wa ni collapse.. amazing...
Most people assume that when a meteor falls down towards earth, that it's an unstoppable object that will drill a hole through the ground. People are not aware of several factors:
a) Terminal Velocity - when a meteor is large enough that it manages to survive the burning heat of re-entry (most actually burn up to dust when entering earth's atmosphere so dili jud kaabot sa yuta), it is further slowed down by the air around it (air resistance) to a favorable terminal (maximum) velocity, which is usually somewhere between 200-300 km/h, significantly slower than the 25,000 or so km/h original speed it had while traveling through space.
b) Hitting multiple surfaces - an object hitting a multi-storey structure will first be slowed down significantly by first point of impact (i.e roof, esp. if the roof is made of concrete etc), followed by other floors, and finally come to rest at some point inside the structure.
c) mass of object - the object was fist sized. Since momentum and KE is directly related to the mass of the object, the smaller the object would tell us that it wouldn't have significant momentum to punch a hole all the way through the structure.
