i think lets fuse our hobby topics altogether at https://www.istorya.net/forums/hobbie...iety-cebu.html

it will be great if we can establish a group here in Cebu.

    Hi Moyti
its nice to know there are lots of modelers out there...I like the idea of establishing a group too...
however, it would also be nice to categorize each work into assembled kits, kitbashed models, and scratchbuilt models. i believe (ako ra ni ha), there is a big difference between assembling a tamiya or academy kit, and building a model entirely from scratch...

    thanks

thanks borjborj for your insights. indeed there is a sort of difference between the two. however, i think these and all other categories fall into one umbrella as a scale modeler. if you can visit an IPMS site, the group is broken down into different subgroups (categories) such as kits, scratchbuilt, kitbashed, paper, wood, etc.

all of these represent the hobby of shrinking down (or blowing up) a representation of the real object.

this will be a great idea! BTW, your boat builds are awesome. i always wanted to scratchbuild a Kaverner Fjellstrand flying cat (similar to Supercat) or an Incat wave piercing catamaran. pero murag di jud kaya! hehehe

anyway, here's a sample of my builds. a braille (1:72) AH-1W Super Cobra. Work-in-process pa ni siya. Still have to retouch the weathering, the fit issues, and to load the ordinances.

*got some silvering and adhering issues on my decals. still have to find a Mr. Mark Softer or Microsol (or Solvaset) to answer this concern
