    Default Studio soundproofing

    Mga masters, gud day tanan!

A friend is in need for some TIPS and HOWTO's regarding studio soundproofing.. After months of waiting para ma completo iya mga gamit sa studio, the last batch sa iya mga gadgets and stuffs will arrive this month and probably maka start na by next month.. This is not just a studio nga gamit2x-ton lng sa mga amigo, this is purely isa sa iya mga business.

He would like to know the materials needed, the design, etc.. tanan2x with regards to soundproofing..

Any TIPS, IDEAS, COMMENTS, SUGGESTIONS from our Experts and Professionals is highly appreciated.

    Thanks.

unsa na, jamming studio or recording studio?.. mas daghan kuti kung pang recording gyud na studio ang himuon..

one mistake na pirmi mahimo diri is the use of eggshell trays.. eggshell trays can absorb the high freqs but dili kaau sa mid og sa lows.. ang nakit-an nko na studio designs is that they use foam (or rockwool, ambot naa bay rockwool dri sa pinas) beneath sa plywood.. so its double walls w/ insulation in between (foam or rockwool).. & use slat resonators on some areas like corners.. slat resonator is |wood, foam, cloth, wood slats(murag windows)| ,pra mo sud ang sound in between sa wood slats pero ma absorb cya sa sod kay naa man foam..

also the walls should not be parallel to each other.. dapat naay angle & this also includes the glass windows & ceiling, so that ma reflect ang sound to the floor.. & even the flooring has insulation, so kung walay insulation under the floor, the solution is to 'float' the room.. mag butang og foam & then double plywood sheets pra flooring..

nindot kung ipa agi ang power & audio cables under the floor or sa wall, kanang nakatago pra neat tan-awon..

& use incadescent light bulbs, ayaw flourescent! why, because flourescent lighting gives off the dreaded 60 Hz humm.. ma dunggan ni sa recording

& i dont call it a recording studio yet unless it has a lava lamp tapad sa mixer in the control room, hehehe
