Cebu Pacific denies discrimination just as a senator talks about them
Cebu Pacific denies discrimination against special child - Airline News - etravelblackboard.com
Opinion
Cebu Pacific, the low-budget airline of the Gokongwei conglomerate, is now flying into air pockets by reason of the airline staff’s decision to offload two special children.
Already, a number of concerned individuals and groups have voiced their opposition to the harrowing incidents for the two mothers of the special children. How the Cebu Pacific imbroglio could impact on the image of the airline is still anybody’s guess, although judging from the TV and media reports, the incidents could morph into a gargantuan headache for the Gokongwei conglomerate.
Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr.’s assertion that Cebu Pacific faces the possibility of a revocation of its franchise is something that the airline cannot sneer at, especially given the pained remarks from the two mothers. The two mothers are crying for justice for the indignities they have suffered. Given the penchant of Filipinos to side with those who were maltreated, Cebu Pacific faces the prospects of a long flight into turbulence that could hurt its revenues. The stakes, we believe, are stacked against Cebu Pacific.
