..i would like to share my part..

..i am an Agnostic theist..i am catholic but somehow..i don't know whether God do really exist or not, but i guess some day it will be proven..

..it feels like i believe there is god but not..it is confusing..i cannot say there is God nor God does not exist, because there actual fact of existence nor his non-existence..

..but im contended this way..and if i will encounter GOD then it would really GREAT!..

It seems bro that you have a particular definition of God in mind. What is it?

You said that we cannot really prove nor disprove the existence of God, so I was just curious how you define "God" and what counts as "proof" for you?

our perspective of reality always starts with an idea, but it doesn't mean that everything is just an idea or concept.. try hitting yourself with a piece of rock, and you'll beg to disagree that the stone is just an idea.. hehe.. my question is taking it simply that for people who have begun to think of God, i guess it had a really influential impact on their lives compared to those who have not yet begun to think of God..
Okay, and I agree with you about the difference between an idea or a concept and a reality, but I was just asking how influential God would really be if for a person he is just an idea.

if "God" exists.. what proof do you have to offer?
Correct me if I'm wrong bro, but it seems that in another thread you actually claimed that God is not just an idea for you but that this God is "as real as it gets" and that one can actually "experience it" for himself. So what do you mean bro?

so how do you define God here? you have not really posted any clear definition of God.. you just acknowledge that God exists.. how?
I define God the way the Judeo-Christian tradition generally defines Him.

    so what are your opinions?
I've pondered on that question quite a bit. It hasn't really changed my life because from the moment I became aware of my existence, the concept of God was always there. Being born in a very Catholic family, it was just the natural order of things. You were taught at an early age that there was a God. That's what I've known my whole life. And so far, it's working for me. Why fix what isn't broke? I'll stick with Catholicism for now.

Time will come that you will believe in God when one day you will ask for a miracle and it happen. And it will change your life forever.

A scientific theory (also called an empirical theory), is not an educated guess, rather, it comprises a collection of concepts, including abstractions of observable phenomena expressed as quantifiable properties, together with rules (called scientific laws) that express relationships between observations of such concepts. God, in our reality, can only exist as an idea. That idea proves nothing more but the existence of our own brain. In fact, it is also reasonable to say that for God to exist, gods have to exist. God is just a title, not a name.
What are you saying, bro? God cannot exist because...?

Even if we were to find the creator,if there was one, he may not be what we think he is. Even if God and the Devil were to appear and stand side by side, we will never truly know which one is the one true god. One may have horns but the other may be fooling us with its grandeur. Our perception of what looks evil now, is only our perception, human perception. These beings would be far too intelligent than any of us to understand. That said,we can never really know them. They can claim who is good and who is evil all they want, but we will never truly know. For now, we can safely assume, in a manner of practical knowledge that god does not exist. You can have all the faith you want to get you through the day, but i know before you cross the streets you look both ways. If god can be proven with evidence, atheists will never deny his existence, however, we would think twice of worshiping him/her/they/it. because a god who demands to worshiped does not deserve it. In the same sense that a man who demands respect, does not deserve respect. No man can fully and truly love something he fears. One might conclude, that a believer does not really believe in God, he only believes in the belief in God.
Well, if you were to find God someday bro, for example if he were to appear right in front of you, wouldn't that count as proof that he exists? I mean, apart from what he might be like (whether good or bad; but that would seem to be a contradiction because God by definition is a morally perfect being), wouldn't his mere appearance prove to you that he exists?

I'm agnostic. I'm in doubt about religion.
