you misunderstand my posts.. so sad.. I am not irritated by others helping our country, but most people who try to help our country is just out to exploit it for their own ulterior motives in the end.. and I do not have such a low opinion of the Philippines, why would I decide to become a teacher if I had such low opinion.. unlike you, I don't rely on riches or wealth or fame to help our country.. I use what I have to the best of my ability.. I am the one in the background just silently helping while all the others are politically bickering who's fault it is or whose plan we should follow.. and certainly not using religion to draw me some so-called "followers"..
I can understand though where you are coming from. To think that a man can come from a country where a minimum wage of $7.25 a hour, thinks it is right to hire a maid, gardener, driver, etc. and work them 12 hours a day - six days a week for a month and only pay them 1,500 pesos a month. Criminal. Or a company an American and a Filipino for the same job description and pay them two different pay scales. A man shovels sand into bags then carries them 3 floors to build a house, work 14 hours and only get paid 250 pesos. It is pure exploitation.
Most foreigners just want to come here be served like kings, and chase little girls too young to understand what they are truly offering, 60 and 70 years old dirty old men trying to score with 18 year old girls. Tell you the truth it pisses me off too. I am a member of a Cebu expat forum site, that I have gotten in trouble over such comments to members. I will call a sick bastard pedophile just exactly what he is.
Teaching is one of the most honorable of professions. I hope you choose to teach here, because you will directly impact thousands of young minds and help prepare them for the real world. A good teacher can affect his society for generations. The truth is those in the limelight get little done, it is the ones working so hard in the background that they do not even have time to think about fame, that get the real work done.
that's nice and good.. ur lucky you have such a wife.. i doubt a white lady with such "independent" status would be willing to "sacrifice" as much..
She is the reason I tell people that I have a blessed life, I could not think of life without her. She is my life partner, and what helps keep me strong. She is my strength. You would like her she speaks 12 languages and dialects. I am small compared to her.
but as to the farming, the Philippines been into organics and traditional farming from the very start.. I just attended a seminar a couple of months ago, and I was surprised they mentioned biogas as an alternative free energy source when we had that in the Philippines 20 years ago..
They do so little natural composting, and introduction of worm farming compost. Emulsifying fish for natural fertilizer which produces a natural wet fertilizer that contains up to 4% natural iron for type A chlorophyll production in plants. They have become so dependent on commercial fertilizers, and this only makes money for the suppliers. Braking this dependence saves the farmer money and produces healthier food crops. And introduction of effective crop rotations to revitalize tired or depleted soils. Most useful is what is called in the US as "Square Foot Gardens" which is not only rural farm complaint but also for urban city, patio, roof top, and handicap accessible raised gardens. The highest yield production of crop diversity and crop yield per square meter, this gives families more diversity and healthier foods in their diets, and allows for more income. It is the introduction of this combination. I have a blog on another new Cebu forum site that is all about Green earth technologies and farming techniques. I want to get this information out to everyone.
that's nice to know that you have such philosophy.. personally, i'm tired of politicians always just trying to be in the limelight..
They can have the limelight, I like being small and unseen, the more down to earth and simple I am; the more accessible I am to the small local farmer. They are not shy, scared, or timid to approach me. I tell people that I am so simple that I am a simpleton.
i've no intent to insult you.. my personal questions are sincere and honest, i have no other way of phrasing them.. i put a disclaimer that you are not obliged to answer them.. I have my theories about Americans in general, so I apologize for the racial bias.. like i said, you have your personal choices.. you posted them, so I ask about it further..
No it probably been well earned by the actions of those before me. I see how much of an ass many really are that come here. They act like kings, when they are really dirt back in their home countries. You do not need to apologize, rather it is I who should apologize for their actions. Some of us are different.
yeah, i know how a filipina woman can be as evil and cunning too.. hehehe but anyway, you get the drift.. i do not wish to offend you.. so i will just drop any further personal questions..
I do not mind personal questions, it is the only way to learn, my being a Kano on the Forum is as much of a learning experience for Filipino members as it is for me. I will always answer questions as honest as possible.
my motives is that I just want to know the mind and emotions of the person behind the posts.. and I cannot really know any further unless I ask personal questions.. no offense intended.. I have my ways of "probing" people, and some people find it offensive, i'm surprised you don't..
I really try to be fair and balanced, I am stubborn, head strong, and proud; that is the Texan in me, it is just how I was raised. I will always answer a man's questions.
sorry about the misunderstanding then.. my words are strong.. i know.. but anyway.. i understand you now.. but please don't blame me if I posted an alternative translation, that was also meant as a joke.. a satire..
Yes, I can have a chip on my shoulder too, that is the problem with forums. there are no facial expressions or pitches in the voice to read the real intents of a post. It is too easy to be misunderstood and things that would never be problems in a face to face conversation turn into heated debates.
I see.. it confirms my theories as well.. thanks for the heads up on the meaning of "American"..
Most Filipinos do not know their contributions to the development of America's history. Filipinos are also the second largest Asian ethnic group in the US.
merry christmas and happy new year.. when I get back, I hope I can meet you in person and shake hands with you.. but please do not cast me out for being atheistic.. you're a good sport..
Any time, and I never hold a man's politics, religion, or belief against a man. We are all equal in the eyes of the Lord. I am fun guy to be around, I will break a six pack or crack a bottle with a friend. Life is meant to be enjoyed.
and lastly, I'm still not asking for your forgiveness.. okay..
That's OK I still always forgive, it is just my nature.
