This is old news...

yes its true there are black metal extremist in Norway who destroyed lots of christian churches but that doesn't mean all black metal fans and musicians are like that...

just like there are a lot of christian extremist who misread the bible and are out in the street judging people but that doesn't mean all christians are like that...


and yeah there are artist like Anthrax lead vocalist and Alice Cooper who recently became a christian and Slayer who's band members are religious (being religious and being a christian are two very different thing) but still uses some gory images for shock effect...

and then there's the number one poser of all time, the self proclaimed anti-christ superstar Marilyn Manson who is neither a christian or satanic.

i read once in a golf magazine that where Alice Cooper said his antics nowadays is like a slap in the face to the metal fans. DOn't know what that means either hehehe...

But there are some good christian heavy metal bands out there and even death metal like the Australian Mortification.

i love Underoath cause they're just being honest with themselves. They are a christian metal band with brief emo-pop period between 2003 to 2006. Thank God they realized their true musical calling as is now back in being a heavy metal band with a twist... and that twist is usually found in the album's closing song that sounded like a cross between Bjork and Erasure...
