Windmills have already been around for a long long time, from low cost to sophisticated wind mills. The only problem is that it can not the satisfy the energy demands of the world right now. It is, however, very useful for powering farms or anything that isn't power hungry.

you like to experiment? why not try, ordinary electric fan motor.

fan blade(ikaw lang tuyok) --> motor --> motor AC input --> voltmeter

kung consistent lang seguro ning tuyok sa fan blade, naa gyud nay resulting voltage.

anyway, a guy from africa hve done this using a bike and a dynamo;

there must be an inverter. Converts from DC to AC.. I think there's no free energy that is AC ready..
