The tires listed below should have a minimum treadwear of 140 or higher, if the manufacturer produces a model with less than 140 treadwear it will not be allowed.

    yokohama
    AD07, AD08
    bridgstone
    RE-01, 01R, 11, 050
    federal
    595SS, RS, RSR
    maxxis
    MaZ1
    pirelli
    Px000, P7, P-Zero (Corsa not allowed)
    hankook
    RS2, RS3
    dunlop
Direzza Sport Z1, Le mans LM series

If you have any other tire to add please list it so we can make our masterlist, as much as possible we list tires that are just "locally available" so everyone has access to such tire...if there are no "major distributor" of the tires I strongly suggest it will not be included in the list....

The less the tires the easier it is to check for the race officials....
so kung wala sa list and even street tire siya? dili pwede na? or aprroved na diritso like good year and bfgoodrich? will post the model and code of the tires. ty

As to not make things confusing...please read:

99% of locally sold street tires will pass our standards of street tires so don't worry if its not listed.

We will only be allowing street tires.....the tires on the list is definitely allowed...."wala nay lalis ana!!"If there will be someone using an unfamiliar tire nga "kadudahan" we have guidlines the will be printed in our rulebook that will classify the "kadudahan" nga tire if allowed or not....so if you are using street tires that are normal and familiar to most of us then 99% sure its ok......

If you plan on buying tires that are unfamiliar to the local market then you should check with our rulebook the tire ratings we allow...that way you will know if pwede or not....

here is my suggested guidelines for the rules and tire listing.

    1. All tires with a UTQG treadwear rating below 140 is not permitted.
    2. All tires with a UTQG treadwear rating 201 or higher may be used. It is incumbent upon the participant to prove the UTQG treadwear rating of 201 or higher to the race officials.
    3. Tires with a UTQG treadwear of 140-200 must be in the list of the recognized tires under these rules.

Here is my list which is based on the UTQG standard of the federal 595RS-R which is 140AA A. 140 being the treadwear, AA traction, A temperature.

MICHELIN-----In is US website does not have a tire with a treadwear ratingof 140-200. their performance tires are either below 140 or above 200. No listing necessary.

BRIDGESTONE----- The following tires with a 140-200 treadwear rating SHOULD NOT BE INCLUDED in the list:

    1.RE-11
    2.RE-050 RFT/MOE
    3.RE-050A RFT/MOEII
    4.RE050A
    5.RE050
    6.S-02
    7.S-01
    8.RE010
    9.RE011
    10.RE030
    11.RE040
    12.RE070

The reason why these tires should be excluded is because their UTQG traction rating is A wherein our standard should have a traction rating of AA.

Insofar as soft tires are concerned, so as to not confuse the readers, the better the traction rating the less performance there is in a dry track as the UTQG ratings are made in a wet track insofar as traction is concerned. In fact semi-slicks such as the yokohma A048, which has a treadwear of 80, has a UTQG traction rating of B.

Bridgestone has no tire in their website that has a treadwear of 140-200 with a traction rating of AA.

GOODYEAR------ No tires in it’s website that has 140-200 treadwear rating.

CONTINENTAL------No tires in it’s website that has 140-200 treadwear rating.

PIRELLI------ does not have UTQG ratings of all their tires in their website. Those who intend to use Pirelli tires with 140 to 200 treadwear rating pls. nominate them now and make sure the traction rating is AA an temp rating is A.

SUMITOMO TIRE--------No tires in it’s website that has 140-200 treadwear rating.

HANKOOK TIRE-------The Ventus RS-3 SHOULD NOT BE PART OF THE LIST the reason being that the traction rating is A and not AA. The Ventus RS-2 should qualify, except for the following sizes, 215/40ZR17XL, 23540ZR17XL, 245/40ZR17XL, 215/45ZR17XL, 315/30ZR18, 265/35ZR18XL, 225/40ZR18XL, 235/40ZR18XL. These sizes have a traction ratingof A.

YOKOHAMA-----AD08, AD07, ADVAN SPORT should be on the list as they are within standard

DUNLOP ---------- The DIREZA Z1 STAR SPEC, SPORT 8080E, SP SPORT 600, SP SPORT 8000, SP SPORT FM 901 are the models that have a treadwear rating of 140-200. however their traction rating is A and therefore should be EXCLUDED.

FALKEN----------AZENIS RT-615 has a treadwear rating of 200 but a traction rating of A and therefore should be EXCLUDED.

NITTO---------NT-05 has a treadwear of 200 traction AA temp A. Is within spec and should be on the list. Other models are either below 140 or above 200 treadwear. Important to note that the NT555 should be distinguished from the NT555R and the NT555RII. The first one has a treadwear of 300 while the last 2 has a treadwear of 100.

TOYO-------PROXES R1R has a treadwear of 140 traction AA, temp A and is within standard and should be on the list.

FEDERAL --------595RS-R has a treadwear of 140 traction AA, temp A and is within standard and should be on the list. 595RPM has a treadwear of 160 traction AA, temp A and is within standard and should be on the list

To summarize I am of the opinion, based on my research, only the following tires should be allowed where the treadwear is 140-200:

    1.HANKOOK Ventus RS-2 should qualify, except for the following sizes, 215/40ZR17XL, 23540ZR17XL, 245/40ZR17XL, 215/45ZR17XL, 315/30ZR18, 265/35ZR18XL, 225/40ZR18XL, 235/40ZR18XL. These sizes have a traction ratingof A.

    2.YOKOHAMA AD08, AD07 and ADVAN SPORT

    3. NITTO NT-05

    4. TOYO PROXES R1R

    5. FEDERAL 595RS-R and 595RPM

That is a total of only 8 tires and 5 different brands with specs as close to each other as possible.

If anybody else knows of a tire with a UTQG treadwear rating of 140-200 with a traction rating of AA and temp rating of A please post.

G-force sport has a UTQG rating of 340AA A and therefore is legal and does not need to be listed.

I have not found any tire from BFG that has a 140-200 treadwear rating.

The Gforce R1 has a UTQG rating of 40B A, while the GForce T/A Drag Radial has a UTQG rating of 0C B. Both are illegal

    To all racers....

Atty Jed will post a list of what tires allowed and not allowed....please give feedback the soonest and we will finalize already.....in case your tire of choice is not in the list of allowed and not allowed there are guidelines that will make us come up with a decision so nothing to worry about......

AS I SAID...99% of locally available tires are legal....we just have guidlines to avoid "wiseguys" who may try to use "a better tire" which we really want to avoid.....
