if you want all drives to have no partitions you nid to install OS first in your new drive den you slave your old drive to your new drive den copy all your files from your old hdisk to your new hardisk den after copying delete all partitions in your old hdisk den reformat your old hdisk den copy your important files form your new hdisk to the old hdisk

yep...tested naman, copy gyud tanan...every sector of the selected drive, iya gyud copyhon.

Daghan jud ka process buhaton ana doh pero gusto ka gamit kag partition magic then set lang nimo ang old drive into different Letter(s). Sa ako na part if ing ana na situation I do it manually kay mas safe.

bagO ra ko install og win7 64bit fresh, to a new HD, den my old HD with OS, kay akong gi slave,

my old hd with OS kay 2 partition pud, OS(winxp32bit) ang 1st den 2nd kay files,

naa lang ko naproblemahan sa old na partition with the OS xp 32bit, kay dili nako makita ang mydocs nako na files, nga wala nako na copy daAn to the 2nd partition, when i browse the files, dont know kung ngano, (is it bec win7 64bit ko??)

pero sa 2nd partition sa old hd nako...okay ra kaayo, files and everything ma access ra nako.

may gani la pa nako ma dispose ako old pc, ako gi balik akong old hdd, den retrieve nako ang files..

@ grey, make your old HDD a slave nalang, then make your new hdd the primary, sa boot sequence ra man cguro pwede ma set, den its up to you na if you will format your old hdd partition containing your old OS, and leave it as is ang 2nd partition containing your files,

win7 goes NTFS...i think la naman kaayo nag FAT32 karon, kay dili man maka handle og dagko na file ang FAT32, (like dili ka maka transfer og whole 5gb file to fat32) not sure tho...basin naa uban ma suggest, hehe just an idea lang...

sakto ni xa bro... and imo OLD HDD i-set as SLAVE, ang NEW HDD i-set as MASTER.
-i partion nimo ang NEW HDD and installan nimo ang NEW HDD sa OS
-so ang NEW HDD: DRIVE C, DRIVE D(as primary/master)
-then and OLD HDD: DRIVE E, DRIVE F(as slave)
there's no problem inig boot kay sa BIOS config nimo ang boot sequence nimo is ang PRIMARY mn so ang OS nga mo run kay ang naa sa PRIMARY kay mao mn to giuna ug boot sa BIOS.
-inig eplore n nimo and labas kay
Drive C; MASTER) -> diri install ang NEW OS, you must install different OS so that you'll know which drive ang ni boot -> dapat kini ang 1st boot sa boot sequence sa bios
Drive D; MASTER)
Drive E; SLAVE) -> diri naka install ang OLD OS -> dili ni xa mu run since ang boot sequence kay ang master mn.
Drive F; SLAVE)

if dili ni xa mo work bro you can always undo mn sd, to undo, just remove the NEW HDD and put back the OLD HDD as MASTER.
if it works, simply reformat the OLD HDD(DRIVE E = where the old OS is installed) and enjoy your new HDD and old HDD together(hapy ever after na...)

sata man ni na drive sir no? make sure sa pinning niya kung kinsa ang slave ug ang master nya as they say bios jud. mas mo prefer ko fresh install pila ra gud na ka minutes mag install ug OS ang programs lang nuon na imong na install ang imo problema ka dugay ug install balik.

better install OS sa new HD then attach imo old HD transfer our files nya format daun ang imo old hd then ayaw na pag partition then balik nasad butang imo files finish na ka ana hilot2x nalang ka sa imo arrangements etc.
