    Default About Black Edition

Unsa diay difference anang mga black edition nga mobo ug processors sa mga normal ones?

I think ECS ra ang naa Black Edition nga mobo.

Will it depends bro, dr are black edition or series nga dli jd pang enthusiast or png entry level lng like what limes had and the other one is the ECS gf8200a wich is also the entry level for the nvidia chipset.. But some black series are also made for enthusiast specially the GOLD standard series.... try to check the ECS website for more refrence...

black edition processors only applies to AMD. kung standard processors lang, the cpu multiplier (core ratio) is upwards locked. for example, if a processor's frequency is determined with a 200 MHz FSB and the core ratio is 11, the resulting frequency is 2200 MHz or 2.2 GHz. when upwards locked, it means you cannot go over 11 but can go down. an unlocked multiplier is very helpful for enthusiasts and overclockers because you don't have the raise the FSB which affects the clocks of the entire system. by simply increasing the core ratio, the overall processor frequency is increased without it affecting other components (memory frequency, hypertransport, etc).

intel's counterpart (processors with unlocked core ratios) are the Extreme Edition processors.

Na generalize nako ( with a little bit of exaggeration hehe ), though I think for ECS step-up na ila black edition sa ila mga previous boards sauna. From the number of slot and connectors to aesthetics dako jud difference. Though ilang oc'ing capability "ECS as usual gihapon". Try looking at their X38/P45/790-GX line.

that may be so but if you think about it, just increasing the cpu multiplier by 1 increment gives you instant 200 Mhz addition on the cpu frequency without having to worry about your memory and the rest of the components, di ba?

^Point taken, pero if that's the case overclocking won't be fun anymore hehe.
