I do... ako man bayad sa akong kuryente.. and it's a big factor if your PC is on 24/7.

The videocard having less power consumption is only part of the equation. With a more efficient GPU, you won't need as big a PSU so in that sense you can save also sa other hardware sa imong system.


Even with an Oc'd processor, pwede ra man ghapon mu throttle down when idle so it doesnt consume that much when not in use.

only a number of games support physx. i played batman on my 9600GT and a friends 3870. wala kaayo difference. wla nman kaha to issue sa ATI na mo restart lang kalit ang display. I had problems man jud sauna with both of my Radeon 9200SE and 9250.

one thing to consider is the PSU...mao na murag +1 lang ko sa 5770 kay layo ra kaau ang consumption compared to gtx 260 and also its a new generation for 5770 and old generation for 260...

Upgrade on FEATURES, Downgrade on Performance = HD5770 (when compared to a GTX260)...

Unya GDDR3 pa man ang GTX260 while GDDR5 na ang HD5770. hehehe

Then ang ram kay 896Mb vs. 1Gb sa HD5770...


Seriously though... HD5770 gihapon kay lower consumption/lower heat output, smaller card, less noise.

GTX260 is too long for me also (di ma sulod sa akong case... lol)

actually less than 10 watts ra ang difference @ idle (which imo is what really matters, more so than the load consumption since i dont play games all the time) sa hd5770 & gtx260, & since more powerful man sad ang performance sa gtx260, more than justified ang slight difference sa power consumption.

as long as the hd5770 is not at least 1k pesos cheaper than the gtx260, gtx260 gets my vote.
