cromagnon and gcc, you're talking about the Geminids, not the Leonids. Saturday night man tingali nag peak, but you can still try to observe tonight. I personally think it's futile to watch a shower in the middle of the city--sa province unta. Towards dawn ang best time, in the general direction of constellation Gemini.

right Geminids , cuz the previous post was last night .

jus wondering if a meteor shower happens more than 1 night. so there is stil a posibility that it might happen on the following night.

Yes. Shower duration is usually 3-4 days, with the night of the most meteors being called the "peak".

I watched the Leonid shower last month from a beach in Samar, right beside the Pacific Ocean. It was a pitch-black night with hardly any light pollution to speak of (we shut off all the lights in the vicinity). The sky was clear--not even a cloud--the moon hadn't risen yet and the stars were out in full force. We did see several meteors flash past, a couple of them looked so close we thought they were Chinese rockets. I'd say I must've seen about two dozen over a period of an hour and half or two hours.

Unfortunately for my companions, their expectations were too high. They thought they'd witness something like a New Year fireworks display and they were disappointed.
