christianity boasts of free will. but there is no free will if to exercise it in certain ways produces punishment. that makes a mockery of free will and renders it counterfeit.

.. i like the way you think dude. you're one positive thinker. .. that's the "good" side of religion, if you just see religion on a very plain perspective, it's quite good and liberating to see people happy. But if you delve deeper, you'll see that religion has been used to manipulate people. One nice example is the priests in simala, well, no further details here coz we all know what took place there.

Sa Christianity, naa ta'y free will to do whatever we want to do, including those things which are sinful. Pero sinful things harm us spiritually, so we experience punishment as a consequence of our actions. Wala mawala ato'ng freedom, pero we experience punishment.

I believe it's unfair to blame religion for just about everything from wars to ignorance and other abuses. I don't think the problem lies in the institution but it's the people within the institution. It's like government, government is a good thing and it's intended for the benefit of the people it's just that people in it are well people, they are always vulnerable to moral flaws and other human fallibilities.

My personal belief is that you don't have to follow any religion just so you can believe in God. The logical person in me agrees that there are no physical evidence pointing towards God. But prudence and a mere acceptance of the fact that I don't know everything except for what is presently offered by science and the fact that not all of them are established truths but mostly theories. And that I can not make any absolute conclusion just basing on my own earthly experience. The universe may not be infinite but it is still too big for anyone to make absolute claims. So unless anyone has seen the universe in it's entirety and understood everything that needs to be understood then and only then can someone make a valid conclusion. But that might never happen anyway.

    hahaha!

Do you need to lecture me?

The English word "religion" is derived from the Middle English "religioun" which came from the Old French "religion." It may have been originally derived from the Latin word "religo" which means "good faith," "ritual," and other similar meanings. Or it may have come from the Latin "religİre" which means "to tie fast."

What else do I have to know? Your own interpretation of religion?

So, where do you think the word religion comes from? ADD? hehehe

    GUYS REMEMBER THIS:

People Behaves' on what they believe in.
Bitaw bro tinuod na we really behaves in what we believe in. It's so hard to discuss this online, it's just that so big to enumerate and countless reason to not believe in religion but all of these are just presentation of what we want to believe and we dont want to believe more or less it's just the way of expressing freedom of fear from anything that would come negatively some circumstances will be enough to say that it's enough to be trapped in religion for a long time, now I dont know my religion but it doesnt mean that I lost my God still I have a God inside of me in my heart that's why I am still not in vain.
