Why you dont believe in Religion or Christianity (to be specific)?

As for me, I would rather go for faith and grace than religion. That doesn't mean that religion is bad, because it would be a discredit to ministries that strive to do God's mission with sincerity. However, I would rather not be completely trapped with religion. I'd rather walk with my God with his grace and with my faith.

one of my personal idol is mother teresa of culcutta.. she didnt really preach religion deeply, but she practiced love and grace. she was open to any person no matter what religion they came from. she didnt practice descrimination.. she had her own beliefs, but she never imposed hers on others.. and for that, i salute her

regarding mass murders and genocide:

didnt the god in the old testament of the bible commanded saul and the men of israel to go and kill every living soldier of the assyrians(?) (sorry, long forgot my sunday school stories) so that they cannot retaliate and bring harm to israel? but saul thinking of good intentions and good will disobeyed and letting the enemy commander go, he then learned a very costly lesson after the next battle..
didnt god also commanded thru another prophet to slay the families of those who worshipped baal?

even the god in the old testament suggested genocide and mass murder for practical purposes.. and wasnt it the same god who burned sodom and gomorrah to the ground?

if your going to do it. do it right and do it clean.... theres no such thing as good and evil.. only effective and ineffective solutions

religion is good, it connects and binds people together. But sadly, there are so many religions all over the world and each is claiming to be the best.

This is the hardest. This also explains why there are some Christians and Catholics that end up jumping from one church to another, hoping to find the "best." For me, the Church should not be the ultimate basis for believers in walking by faith and finding God. It should rather be their personal relationship with Him. We see God in different ways.

All parties want to impose their own thinking with one another. hehe. Sa tan-aw sad nako, they attack the person, not the post. It's cruel to say that believers are idiot, stupid, ignorant, or delusional, just as it's cruel to label non-believers as on the road to damnation. Nobody really knows how he would judge both people in the end. For me, no one can play God. As a believer, the only thing I can do is to strive to attain his definition of perfection, with His grace.

observations should tell you why! Most are debates with atheist who threatens our freedom to believe... its not religious, its differences that each party could not take... If you are indeed smart you can already figure out why...

Yes there are debates on Catholic Doctrine... well it never do well anymore... only those SMART ATHIEST (FEELER) against RELIGION Believers.

for me.. that act wasnt evil nor was it good.. that was complete stupidity... why i said its very stupid is because it backfired... if i were ampatuan, i would never kill my enemy.. same as sayop ni marcos.. kung madedz imo kalaban, klaro na kaau kinsa i blame... its more prudent to kill your friend than to kill your enemy.. nobody would suspect you of killing your friend, but everybody would blame your enemy.. and most of all, ngano iya pa jud gi hilabtan ang media.. lain ra ba ni sila kay kung hilabtan di jud ka undangan..its clear that whoever did such a thing didnt think the whole matter throurougly. massive failure sa paghuna2x...

So if the massacre didn't backfire, it was okay? And if the Ampatuans did it to some other civilians instead of members of the media, it would've been okay also? You're saying killing is okay as long as it doesn't have any negative consequences on the party doing the killing?

i dont judge anything by any morals.. i only see events as causes and effects.. you kill somebody, expect somebody to want to kill you too.. if you cant take the consequence then dont do it...

the only thing i think is wrong with most religions is the way they use fear to gain obedience from the masses... people fear hell enough so they would rather follow blindly any religios figure who makes claims of salvation from such situation after death..

I don't think it's Saul. Anyway, it seems you're making another value judgment here. You seem to be saying that genocide in the Bible is wrong. However, in your last statement you again affirm that there's no such thing as good and evil.
