well if you're a purist, film would be the best way to go. i realize that dslr sensors tend to have just a minute lapse in quality. i looked up over the net and a lot of photographers agree that senors indeed have limits vs film - limitations that can only be corrected with post processing, sadly.

... pwede pud ka mag Sigma kay naa sila Foveon na sensor :P

way back in time of our old master ansel there is no photoshop but he use chemicals...
even our old master photographer/developer here in the philippines homebrew their own chemicals to produce stunning output in prints... are they also cheating coz they create their own chemicals and didnt use the stock or the over the counter developer?

that also goes to photoshop(coz we dont use chemicals in digital)... when you create your own workflow does it means that you are cheating?

so how do we develop our photos now a days when using softwares are cheating?

PP is not bad baya. just don't over do it lng. :P

nindot man pud straight out of the cam and nindot pud mag-pp. depende lang gud sa gusto.
ang mga tao nga di kama-o mu-pp prehas nato mga tol, mao na ma-insecure. mga masters dire sa istorya, gikan pa sa film days, ga-pp na man gani, analog lang (chemicals and whatnot)
purist and photoshop-freaks, tira lang! basta nindot!

Bai, pwede kaha ka maka-share sa workflow ani? Minor ra man ni.

^^ dali ra ang workflow ana... kasagaran global adjustment lang to keep it in its "purist" form...

1. ang original photo kay medyo under exposed man and lacks contrast... gitirahan og curves and levels adjustment...
2. adjusted ang color kay medyo more on magenta ang skin tone and made it warmer...
3. gikuha ang bugas sa ilong(mao ra ni manipulation gibuhat ana nga photo)...
4. dodge and burn gamay para medyo mo 3D tan-awon ang photo...

mao ra basic og minor ra gyud kaayo... pero it makes a huge difference gyud...

mao na reason nga dili dyud ko mag "purist"...
