ok ra na bro pero dili ka dual channel imo memory...kung dalan pa na, 1 way lane lang ba, so kung naa apps like photoshop cs4 nga mag run and then internet pud, medyo bottle neck na sa imo rig...if you can look for the same brand and density for the ram much better para ma trigger nimo ang dual channel and then modako imo bandwidth...maka take advantage ka ana sa photoshop bro...

Ako na gitang2x ang 512MB. Ako nalang ni palitan another 2GB na RAM. 4GB ok naman siguro kung mag Photoshop, Illustrator og Premier idungan.

What do you mean dual channel ang memory? DUAL CHANNEL MEMORY or RAM can be dual channel unless mo support imong Motherboard so its the RAM. Imo cguro sabot DS-Double SIDED or SS-Single Sided coz naa man gud mobo di mo support if mag sagol ang DS ug SS in pair of slots.

Its the motherboard who can support or not support dual channeling MEMORY MODULES. So you check your motherboard if it can support Dual channel as well. Again its not RAM or Memory.

PC sa ako friend kay 4 ka slots ang memory tapos iya gisuwayan og buntang sa ako usa ka 512MB na RAM, 2GB sad to iya RAM daan unya 1 RAM ra so naa pa 3 ka slots na free. Pag taud niya kay dili mowork. Unsa man problem ato iya mobo?

Once again, it is recommended that you use the same type of memory modules. Ok naman siguro kung different size bastat parehas lang na brand and parehas ang frequency. Meaning kung yung isang module 512mb ay rated sa 667Mhz, you have to use the same type of 667Mhz frequency whether what you add is 1Gb or 2Gb. Bastat parehas lang na brand and frequency. I had this problem before kasi. I used 1Gb Kingston 800Mhz with Apacer 1gb 667Mhz. That didn't work and even damaged my motherboard.

So recommended talaga that when upgrading memory, you use the same brand and same frequency. I hope this helps.
