God put the riches into the Earth, gave his word for free, and gave his son's blood for our salvation. So why does God need your money? Why is it deposited in a man's banking account? Why does the church charge you to hear God's words, when he gave them freely to you? Why does the church claim they are your salvation, when Christ said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"?
This site has an excellent definition and description of the differences in the belief between the two camps under the umbrella of the Christian Churches.
Christianity vs Churchianity
that's all nice and well, advertising one church to be non-dogmatic or such and such.. a lot of new churches are doing that nowadays.. (e.g. scientology)
but the moment you have rules and set of doctrines you need to follow that sets you apart from everyone else, AND require everyone else to follow such doctrines too (or coerce them before they can join such and such named "universal church" or some other), or basically even just a hint of "exclusivity", you are already being dogmatic..
