I really don't understand why you people call it resistance. Is it really?
Do you even read and UNDERSTAND what we are saying in the first place?
I think my eight year old daughter reads and understands better than you do.
Did we even say, "hey you know business is bad you shouldn't go into it" N-O!
Most of the businessmen posting here are so one-sided, not realizing the value of the employed.
Which makes me wonder, are you really who you say you are?
Let's not call it sour graping when people disagree with you head-on, I mean for Pete's sake do you even know what that means? It means bitterness.
I didn't even know that pointing out important facts is called sour graping for you.
Or maybe you choose to name it that, considering that you don't really do well in the employed world huh? That, I would call it sour graping.
That's why you choose not to see our point even though it's as clear as light.

p.s. i really had to highlight the word most 'cause someone here might say that I said ALL, not most. Sometimes you have to really emphasize just to make sure he understands...
Oh you know what they say: the bigger the ego, the smaller the brain. Tsk!

p.p.s to those who just started to read the ramblings of this thread. I suggest you start from the beginning. get a beer, some chips, and go read! just make sure you're sober by the time you decide to post your reply. LOL!

if call center ang storyahan.. I am not for or against it.. I am presently working in one.. believe me.. in all of my almost 6 years experience as a call center employee.. dili jud lalim ang sacrifices na-agian nako.. Mao lagi ang maka entice pud nimo.. ang PAY..

But if I had my way, even my batchmates before nga wala na gani sa call center ug nang larga na sa gawas, when we have our discussion sa pantry(canteen).. they would often say.. ang call center is not a long term career to stick on to.

One detriment nga maka agree ko on why I would eventually opt to choose to work on a non -call center job soon would be my -- HEALTH.

I developed a lot of health issues in my almost 6 years stay sa call center(Where I am now still), I am not a nursing grad or have knowledge of any medical lingo.. but one thing I noticed is that my eyes are failing on me already. I developed tremendous migraines (perhaps staring at the large lit monitors, 9 hours a day, 5 days a week.), My migraine usually last 1-2 days, where at this point, I can barely walk without vomitting.

Secondly, I noticed that my fingers (at the prolong typing in a keyboard) would twinch and hurt around the bones.. I don't know what this medical condition is called.. (d man sad athritis.. uu)

For me lang, no body has the right to force and impose your opinions to other people.. kanya kanya lang gud..

Sa ako.. Enough na kaau akong 'tour of duty' working in a call center uy.. (e.g. waking -force sometimes to wakeup, around 2-3am to work) it entails a whole lot of sacrifice jud. We'll every job has sacrifices man, but sa akoa.. I think I deserve a whole lot more na, instead of just letting my body rot eventually in a call center..

FOR ME ra na.. IT's my experience lang that I have shared to you..
    gl

OT: I think it's called carpal tunnel syndrome =) But I'm not a nurse or doc ha. Just aware lang of that. Although, it's a misconception that CTS is caused by an activity. But let's not go into that. wehehe.

A lot, as in a lot of people are not for the call center industry... I, for one, am not made for that. Even though I wasn't taking calls anymore. I quit.
Another job, especially day job would be for you. Or you can go into business.
It depends on you, and what you want.

question: what made you stay that long?financial restraints?or what?

    oh okay.. I expected that..
Kasagaran mao jud ang reason... tsk!
Oh well, take the advice of some of the biz peeps here (that is kng ganahan ka mag biz ha)... save your earnings. and while working, start out something small. Eventually you can leave that job.
If biz naman is not for you, I'm sure there are some jobs there that are fitted for you.
In the meantime, while you're stuck there, maybe you could ask for a transfer to day shift? hehehe.. just a thought... that is, if your account is operating 24/7.

Right. Daghan business men kuno ni post diri nga klaro kaayo nga naay "RESISTANCE". kung unsa man inyu pag sabot ana.

But, if you read my post carefully, your reply does not address it (my previous post).

So, let me post it again:

It is this "RESISTANCE" that hinders people from gaining financial freedom...that is why we need reprogramming of our inner self, para mawagtang na ning mag sigeg dictate sa imong thinking to resist.

However, that doesn't necessary mean that Any Business Is Better Than Your Call Center Job or any other job for that matter.

On a general thought: Didn't it also come up on your business minds that being employed on a company which is "related" to a business venture you plan to put up is also a very good way to learn?

Again, I can show you proof that this is not really the case. Before you go on adding or discussing about why you can say that "Any Business Is Better Than Your Call Center Job", please care to present the same (proof). Otherwise, there really is nothing to talk about here.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). This is a form of a Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI). Meaning, na cause na cya sa repetitive strain sa kamot. For example, same position for a long time, dugay ka cge gunit sa mouse cge click click. I was diagnosed with CTS. Nagpa PT (or OT bato) sessions gyud ko ani. Take care of it mintras sayo pa. Gamita inyu health care bro kay daghan kaayo kag makat.onan methods para dli mu grabeh or maayo ang CTS nga ila itudlo nimu didto bro..

good that you mention it bai..

key employees are those people vital to your operations..

ako maadvise sa mga gusto mag negosyo, is as possible, minimize your key employees and always have replacement available at all times.. kay kung di na cya ka perform nga person, mailisan daun so dili maputol imo operations.. thats why you really should invest on training.. never let employees build power bases on your company, dire magsugod ang kanang mga binuang..

never rely on people.. rely on the system.. all people within the business is just part of a system.. from the manager down to the lowest rank. must perfom their assigned tasks.. if one is not functioning, make sure thru checks and balances you can compensate fo that..

example, kung magconstruct ka balay, dont hire just one carpenter and one mason, hire 2 of both, its a little expensive but it will increase your assurance that there will be no interuptions just because one person is absent..

you as an employee.. is always replaceable.. sa kalisod sa panahon karon, daghan pa tao ganahan mo puli sa imo pwesto.. its harsh, but its reality..
