master markykoi very informative au imo reply thanx alot bai... i have browsed your thread & learned that most of you guys use riversand/clay & so i will follow the way of the masters here hehe... ok sad ba i mix ang riversand / clay / designer substrate like lets say 20% clay 25% designer substrate & 50% riversand? yeah i have noticed lahi ra jud ang tubo sa plants w/ pebbles ky naako small planted tank nya pebbles ang substrate nya lisod pa jud ig tanom hinoon i dont have planting tools yet & its a very lo-tech tank sad but lipay gihapon ko ky nitubo man ang plants... mao ba u used garden soil? dili ba makadaut sa isda ang fertilizer na mix na sa gardensoil?

dili ko master oi, si swordfishh na.hehehe basta, top it off, or make sure nga imung kinalasan layer kay either designer substrate or riversand only. kay if ma introduce ang clay sa water column...boom! green! ehehehe algae bloom. labi na if kusog imu suga.

yup mix clay and riversand, pero top gihapon nimu ug riversand lang para walay clay exposed sa water column.

murag d lang tingali ko mag 100% designer substrate ky makabuslot sa bulsa hehe... ayos ni mga links da ako na gi print aron dili malimtan... what is dolomite, potash & root tabs/sticks? thanx for the links & info master soggy daghan jud ko makat-onan sa inyo group ayos

i meant to skip the addition of dolomite and potash as instructed in the soil mineralization procedure. The root tabs and sticks are optional; can be bought at our sponsor petshops. Nice to have but not necessary with these types of substrates.

i dont know if true na ilang claim about light intensity for plants but might give it a try since less than 200 pesos na, kato nindot is kato tanning light sa WGC mao jud toh maka ingun ka high kelvin
