salamat sir. im not a master, pero advise lang pud ko ginagmay. daghan klase kapilian ang substrate sa planted, common lang diri sa amoa ang riversand clay tandem kay epektibo pero less ang cost. sa mga ubang hobbyst sa laing nasud or sa Manila, dili sila mu recommend ug construction sand for the reason that it may contain impurties or it may have been processed by chemicals harmful to fauna or flora. but if you do a test and make sure it is inert. and then you wash it thoroughly..it will do. as long as you have a nutrient rich substrate at the bottom of it.
sakto sila, you can check local petshops for sources. akoa, i used garden soil sa among luyo gani as bottom substrate and then top it with riversand.
we prefer smaller grains, kay ang pebbles man gud, some plants have difficulty rooting themselves into the substrate.
Thank you sir. God bless and goodluck on your setup.
