    Default Router Configuration


    Mga bro. sa real world of networking, asa pwede mag configure ug router? unsa bana nga OS? kay simulator raman permi akong nakita, dili pud k ka configure sa windows command promt. help me pls.

    sa GUI na e-configure bai.... basta connected na imong router sa inyong local network or isa ka pc connected na sa router through wired/wireless, then maka-access naka dapat sa GUI ana... open ka browser then adto ka sa address sa GUI sa router... kani para ni sa mga home and small office routers lang... ang mga mahalon, naa man terminal gyud...

    the same ba bro sa http//192.168.1.1 tapos pwede naka mag configure didto?

    Dhen, depende na siya sa IP address sa imong equipment not necessarily 192.168.1.1 kung router like Cisco you can use the CLI (Comman Line Interface) to access the IOS (Internetwork Operating System).

    ah. ok. pero bro, ang CLI kinahanglan paba na e install? sofware ba sya? kng software pud asa ta ana ka kuha open source ba pud na?

    Wala na kay dapat i install bro. dapat lng naay serial port imo pc para maka connect ka sa console port sa router OR naay available pud nga USB to Serial converter BUT kinahanglan kag driver ana. Kung naa na serial port imo pc, dretso nka adto sa hyperterminal naa sa Programs-->accessories-->communications-->Hyperterminal....thats it. OR kung ma remote nimo ang router u can use Putty. u can download it for free. OR just use your command prompt sa windows to telnet..
