i think pretty much most of us became freethinkers/skeptics through the internet. we are fortunate enough to live in an age of information.

    let's define the two terms:

freethinker - A person who has formed their opinions using reason and rational enquiry; somebody who has rejected dogma, especially with regard to religion.

skeptic - someone who habitually doubts accepted beliefs.
compare those side by side with:

    herd behavior/herd mentality.

so if you are a freethinker/skeptic, what made you one?
religious and dogmatic bullcrap to sum it up.

    it's not offensive; it's ridiculous. )

kun free-thinker, ngano mo suwat pa mag anything sa "religion"? the most expedient thing to do is to leave it blank, saving ink in the process.

i do not know of any legal or public documents that asks as to what religion you belong. maybe in the Philippines... a country where one of the qualifications for looking for a job would be "with pleasing personality". LOL

    That's a very good question!

i remain a Roman Catholic... I found out that there are some original teachings and rituals that still remain with RC, even though some were changed, deleted, and some were added... I can think of those changed, added and deleted as part of the business strategy or adjustments for the always changing society and I respect it... we know also that any organization, any religion or any group need funds for them to function well

all religions have the original and the changes... including Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Judaism... the original ones, very few know it, mostly the leaders only, and the changes are for the general public... in RC, the Pope and the Cardinals know and I think practice the original teachings of Jesus, also few priests who have accessed them, that is why it is a very powerful religion, but the general catholic, don't know anything about them... the ordinary Jews don't know what was the original teachings were but the Rabbis know them well
