no. it means that it has 2 cores running at 2.3ghz each.

if your pc has one task, 1 core will handle it with a speed of 2.3ghz and the 2nd core mag tanga lang.

yeah it doesnt means na kung 2ghz processor mo maging 4 ghz na lahat, means 2 cpu"s inside dalawang core,,way of data...less traffic......

ghz isn't everything especially if we are comparing last few years' architecture from todays'

    ghz is not everything bro.

if you compare two processors of the same type like core2duo nga 1.8ghz vs core2duo nga 3.0ghz, of course mas kusog jud ang 3.0ghz.

pero if lahi lahi nga processor imo i-compare, higher does not always mean better. example, a core 2 duo of 2.0ghz could easily beat an old netburst pentium d nga 3.0ghz

and also basin malibog ka, kanang "pentium d" is different from "pentium dual core"
pentium d is old, pentium dual core is newer.

mao ni sauna katong di pa ma utilize ang support sa daghan na cores pero karon mga 90% naman daw ang mo support ug dual core so meaning bahinon sa duha ka cores ang tarbaho dili kay ang usa lang ang mag work.

yes, i know daghan na applications mu utilize ug 2 or more cores but ako lang cya gitagaan ug example nga para makasabot jud cya maayo nga separate jud ang cores and not added together ang speed nila.
