You only refused to believe and it is totlly different to not acknowledging at all of a SUPREME BEING , you still know that somewhere out there , He is there .

we are talking about MORALS in the spiritual side . Not the materialistic / literal form of morals . True ... people need not good because there is a God . Thats what happened in WESTERN COUNTRIES now ... at a very young age , commiting crimes / getting pregnant / broken homes and families / depressed lives / etc . They dont have MORALS inclining on being a GOD FEARING person . Maski ang uban THEIST , but they are not practicing it ug walay pakabana .

And you know what i am talking about because you are in the USA right now and I llived there also for 15 years . That is substantial enough to justify based on OBSERVATION . I might not have stats , surveys etc but it doesnt have to be like that as long as you come up with a common denominator .

Lastly ... daghan kaayo ATHEIST pod na mas angay pa ma SANTO kumpara sa mga THEIST . I am just saying this in regards sa instilling something specially on the minds of the innocent which are the infants / kids / toddlers etc .
ok. that's your opinion. if that's how you see MORALITY and ATHEISM---i won't argue about it---although i don't know what living in USA has got to do with anything.

You are right... you never mentioned that you blamed your parents.
But the way I read it, your posts are a subtle form of blaming someone or something for what you have had gone through...

So you wished your parents had no fuzz about religion at all because i think it's always inevitable that children always get a share of what their parents have... Even if a parent doesn't teach his child not to smoke... if that parent is seen smoking, the child will always have that idea of smoking whether he follows his father's footsteps or not.

What if you were born in a world/place wherein religion never existed at all, would it REALLY make the situation better?

Yes , these are all my observations lang when inclined about MORALITY defined by THEIST and ATHEIST .

Actually if you compare the schools in the Philippines and in the USA , the RELIGION is a big factor . try to compare the personalitie of the age groups .

i never mentioned that i blame my parents because i don't. subtle postings like that could be easily misinterpreted. my parents did what they had to do and i can't change what they did. if i blame my parents then it's like i blame them for bringing me into this world. and that would suck since you wouldn't have someone who'd question your beliefs now, would you? what i can do to change that for my kids, though, is to stop the practice of passing along to my kids what religion i belong to (since now i don't have a religion, that would not be a problem). although i wish my parents could have done a different thing---like not forcing me to go to church and stuff.

actually, there is a very slim difference. America is still a Christian nation and religion is ALSO a big factor in America (doesn't matter what state). atheism in America is on the minority side, while Christianity encompasses probably no less than 80% of the population.

if you were born in a SOCIETY inclined to ISLAM/___(place your religion here), the probability of you ending up as one is pretty HIGH.
given that your parents are also byproducts under such society...yielding a christian or other types would be considered EYEBROW raising.

same can be said in asia's christian nation...yielding an ATHEIST by choice, is eyebrow raising enough. probably much WORST if your surrounded with FUNDIE type relatives.

I probably mixed it up but I am emphasizing and pointing out the FEAR of a GOD . Heck a Catholic can be so UNBECOMING thats why I said , lots of ATHEIST also should be considered as SAINTS by the catholics based on GOOD WORKS .
