    actually existing naman ni
Some guys from MIT did it, they call it WiTricity

Here is a youtube link of the demo during ted conference.
YouTube - Talks Eric Giler demos wireless electricity

    Website:
WiTricity Corp. Home ? Wireless Electricity Delivered Over Distance

How it works: (Taken from WiTricity.com)
WiTricity power sources and capture devices are specially designed magnetic resonators that efficiently transfer power over large distances via the magnetic near-field. These proprietary source and device designs and the electronic systems that control them support efficient energy transfer over distances that are many times the size of the sources/devices themselves.

The WiTricity power source, left, is connected to AC power. The blue lines represent the magnetic near field induced by the power source. The yellow lines represent the flow of energy from the source to the WiTicity capture coil, which is shown powering a light bulb. Note that this diagram also shows how the magnetic field (blue lines) can wrap around a conductive obstacle between the power source and the capture device.

aw electromagnetic induction gihapon ang principle nga ila gamit ani.

The guys at MIT did accomplish a breakthrough (see my previous post) pero like you said electromagnetic induction ra gihapon. 40% ra ang efficiency na achieved nila, not really a good number but its the best out there. As of now we are constraint with classical electromagnetism. hehe!

Hopefully, in the future, there will be more researchers involved in wireless power transmission. hehe! Possibly, we will see some radical fundamental physics involved. Pero dugay pa gyud tingali. I think most scientists and engineers are more focused on pressing problems like energy source, nanoelectronics, quantum computuers, medicines, etc..

    can this be?
i had a funny experience before --- my call center days.. i was on tech support

this old woman called about a false advertisement..why?
cos her interpretation of a WIRELESS PRINTER was.... having a wireless electric cord...
she said she wanted to use the printer in her car..but it wont work!

she was very mad when i told her that the wireless in the WIRELESS PRINTER pertains to the wireless cord for having to print via bluetooth or wifi internet..

she was irate. and i got bad reviews just because she can't understand. just because she does think its false advertisement!

ang akong nahunahuaan sa WIRELESS Printer ky de battery.

kahunahuna na nuon tag battery nga dugay mahurot [maybe using superconductivity -PAF] as an alternative to wireless elec ky pra raman sad sa mga gagmayng butang. hehe.

are u in teleteh , mka lingaw sad sa call center , .. . pero cellphone lng to amo-a .

    aply ko ani again ..

    funy experience with celphone:

la man ko mahunahuna-an . kato ra cguro'ng , customer nga naay parkinsons desease , na dili ka litok sa iya storya.

    OT naba hehe,

anyway jus imagine , wirelss appliances..

wireless : electric fan , rce cooker ,radio , tv , pwede nka mag lung-ag sa bukid .

wireless flurescent , mag dala kag flourecent sa dalan . imong i pencing.

this is not a new thing. NIKOLA TESLA developed this more than a century ago..
    try googling it..

id like to dis agree.. current behaves the same way as radio waves.

    not really..

precisely! a transmitter is simply a separated pair of conductor..
