there is no such thing as karma..
only cause and effect.. all actions have their corresponding action.. when you punch somebody, expect to be punched back.. so make sure he cannot retaliate.. so that you will not be punched in the face
"good" and "bad" things happen whether you are "holy" or "evil".. the important thing is whether you can live through it or not.. nature doesn't distinguish who is righteous or not..

THE LAWS OF MATERIAL NATURE ARE STRINGENT, and there is no exception. Not unless you transcend beyond the laws of material nature, by acting through a higher consciousness, that process is called KARMA YOGA.

On what i have understood : Karma is simply the process of cause and effect. If you do A, B will happen. If you plant tomato seeds, and water and look after them, tomatoes will grow.
