but to become god is, i'm not sure...this is way too far...maybe to become more like god, but not to become god... this is very Christian, doctrinally sound

the son of God referred here is Christ Consciousness of which Lord Jesus has... it is through that consciousness that can save us from ignorance of our true nature: gods

not only Jesus that had Christ Consciousness... Mohammad, Gautama Buddha, many adepts and sages of India, Tibet and Nepal and many others have Christ Consciousness

all of us can have Christ Consciousness... then we can fully understand the true teachings of Jesus, to reunite man with God

life here is never meaningless/pointless... everything has a purpose, even our being animals has a purpose... we can never know that we are humans unless we experienced being animals, and same us we can never know that we are gods unless we experienced being humans, just like the purpose of right and left... sad and joy... top and bottom... up and down... as so on

if we think that we are only animals living in this planet, then that's the time that we can say that life is meaningless/pointless, but we are not, we were animals, now humans, and soon gods

soon Gods? how do you define GOD in this statement? if we view it in a Darwinian sense, i may have to agree with you, because we have not ceased to evolve. we don't see it happening yet we see the products of evolution. so in a sense, we are still evolving, and there is scientific evidence to back it up. so yeah, maybe a million years from now, we will become "GODS" in our own right.

yeah... you think of GOD when you're stuck in traffic. you "pray" to an entity that you don't see in hopes that he's gonna let you pass your board exam. you face some corrupt official and you THINK of GOD and you feel better afterwards. you see flooding in Manila and you wonder how your GOD could be such a bad GOD for allowing this to happen.

would you not say that these are all PSYCHOLOGICAL? of course it is. you THINK God, you FEEL God, you even SEE God in your dreams (even day dreams). you have GOD within you and he becomes your personal GOD---but that doesn't mean he exists.

the existence of God cannot be explained by our human consciousness

so how to know then that God is inside me?
