Mao bro. Tigom na lagi ko. Mga next year na jud guro mahal2x raba D90.Palit nalang ug DSLR Bro kay mabitin lang ka ana imong PS nya dili pa gyud ka katulog ug tarong ... hehehe
Lagi. Lag kaayo ang shooting basta PnS. Pero naa pod advantages gamay... hehehe.OK ra man ang PnS... problem lang is ang shutter lag if ganahan ka ug kalit2x na shots the noisy pud on higher ISOs Pero dili kaayo ko ma-affect sa noise (Naa may NeatImage to the rescue)... ang shutter lag lang gyud ang dili nko ganahan. Sayang ang moments.
ISO 3200 on a bright sunny day...hehe
bitaw oi, dpende ra sa light available.. test shot then adjust2x lang..
the highest ISO possible if ok ka sa noise pud lagi
depende lang gyud unsa imo preference
iso 100 -> strong light
iso 200/400 -> afternoon's Light mga 4-5pm
iso 800 -> if ngit ang lugar nya di mu gamit ug flash

64 ako use if macro..then the rest 400
heheh..still discovering the waterfront of my camera....![]()
ako 200-400 kung daytime
1600 kung nyt.
I'm a PnS camera user too. Canon Powershot A710 IS. I set my ISO to AUTO. Then program it to start at ISO 80 up to ISO 300. Then set the condition to maintain at least a shutter of 1/30 if not, increase ISO. Why I can program it? Because I installed CHDK.![]()
If ISO 300 fails, I take out my ever helpful gorilla pod and setup somewhere stable. If no more time to setup, I set my flash to 2nd curtain, set ISO to 200, shutter at around 1/10 to gather ambient light and fire away. This way I still get a well lighted background and subject. Worst case.. ISO 200 and 1st curtain flash w/ a piece of white post it for a quickie DIY diffuser.
All above.. That is if I'm trying to take a picture of someone 2 or 3 meters away from me. That's how far my flash can go --- effectively. If its landscape night shots, forget it. Get a tripod. You can also use it to defend yourself if someone tries to take away your camera.![]()
There's really not much you can do about low light when it comes to PnS cameras. It's always best to carry with you something that can make it really stable (TRIPOD,MONOPOD). High ISO helps but not much because your camera's sensor, our camera's sensor is way too small compared to DSLRs. If you hate to carry those, try to make yourself a stringpod.
Accept the limitations of your camera and work around it. Always shoot at lowest ISO if possible. Use a tripod if you have to. This way you'll get the best photos possible from your PnS.

Sa akong na-research2x... OK2x ug noise handling ang Canon 40D ug Nikon D90.
(Although wala ko ka personally blow up sa pic sa Nikon D90)
Nikon D80... noisy na xa at ISOs greater than 400 or 800 ba to.
If controlled nimo ang enviroment bay, shoot at the lowest ISOs possible. (50, 100, etc)
If dili controlled pero sunny, pwede ra ka mag ISO 400
If dili controlled nya medyo dim, try shooting at 1600 then adjust accordingly :P
I always go for the lowest ISO possible in any given lighting and scene condition.
