Ads don't have long paragraphs, i agree. But cosplay events here in Cebu don't really need few words and straightforwardness to grab the attention of the people. What people want is enough info and details of the event, as well as a poster/image or anything that can verify the event. I know you provided the info, but you placed it on a diff site/forum. Others have suggested that it would be nice if you place it here, as it would be too troublesome for others to register and stuff just to read the needed info. If you don't mind me asking, why didn't you place the event's complete info here, btw?

Good to hear that the poster is on its way. A lot of people are looking forward to this event. Good luck to the organizers and to those joining the contests~! I'll prolly be there to grab some pics.

Notes:

1. No entrance fee.

2. A minimum purchase of P300.00 from any SM City Cebu department store is required to join the competition on stage.

5. This is in connection with Halloween. Don't bring any lighted candles.

6. Registration starts now. List your name here, then secure a copy of the following:


a.) Profile of the cosplayer (-see mechanics-)

b.) Full profile of cosplayed character (not required for O.C.D.s)

c.) A brief summary of why you chose this character (to be read by the Master of Ceremonies)



7. Costrippers and photographers are welcome, though, we encourage costrippers to join the showdown/contest on stage.

8. There will be minor prizes.

Mechanics

1.Anyone aged 13 years old and above may participate in the GRAND COSPLAY SUMMIT (Individual category only).

2.A contestant must submit the following to the Marketing Department, SCMC Administration Office, 2nd Floor Northwing between 10AM and 6PM:

a) proof of purchase from any SM City Cebu or Northwing outlet made within October 20 to October 30, 2009 of at least P300.00 (single or accumulated)

b) accomplished Registration Form

c) Character Profile of character to be portrayed during the competition.

3.Registration Forms are available at the SCMC Administration Office, 2nd Floor Northwing. Deadline of registration: 1PM, October 30, 2009

4.Cosplayers must be prepared to be in costume for hours. Characters being portrayed by participating cosplayers may come in anime, sci-fi, on-line, or created characters (OCDs).

5.Costumes must not be gory, messy, or obstructive to the flow of people in the event. Real weapons, flames, liquids, and exploding, breaking, or harmful props that may affect the performance and safety of others are not allowed.

6.GRAND COSPLAY SUMMIT participants should be at the Contestants' Holding Area at the 2nd Floor Northwing Hallway, beside Bayo and Michelis, at 3:30PM.

7.Each participant will be given 30 seconds to one (1) minute to introduce his/her costume or persona.

8.GRAND COSPLAY SUMMIT prizes are as follows:

Grand Winner P10,000.00
First Runner-up P 5,000.00
Second Runner-up P 3,000.00
Third Runner-up P 2,000.00

9.Criteria for judging are as follows:

Attire (Accuracy, Craftsmanship, Creativity)........40%
Stage Presence (Projection)...............................30%
Audience Impact............................................ .....30%

TOTAL 100%

10.Judges' decision is final and irrevocable.

11.Cosplayers may be asked by shoppers to pose for pictures or a photo opportunity after the show/competition.

Satin Eclipse: The Darkness is Rising Cosplay
Cosplay Guidelines

1.Cosplay event is open to all event attendees.

2.Cosplay event will be an OPEN CATEGORY event where participants could cosplay any character that they want from DARK FANTASY genre whether it's from an anime, manga, games, comics, movies, western animation, visual kei, harajuku fashion, etc. Pls. keep in mind that Original Characters are not qualified.

3.Cosplay event will be on OCTOBER 31, 2009. Both the INDIVIDUAL COSPLAY and the GROUP COSPLAY will be on the said date.

4.The cosplay registration will be both on-site/at-con registration and online pre-registration. The on-site/at-con registration will be on October 31, 2009. Cosplay should register at www.caneevents.com; for pre-registrants they are required to confirm their pre-registrations on-site during the cosplay registration period.

5. Cosplayers under eighteen (1 years old must have their parent/s and/or legal guardian/s sign the waiver/image release form which will be distributed at the event.

6.Fanservice (ie. yaoi, yuri, etc.) is allowed but should be �General Patronage�. Any kind of extreme kind of fanservice (ie. kissing, PDA, etc.) that is deemed inappropriate for minors are strictly prohibited. Keep in mind that it is a wholesome event.

7. Costumes that are too revealing (ie. exposes private parts) are prohibited. Scantly clad and/or sexy costumes are allowed but are not encouraged. The SATIN ECLIPSE OR CANE TEAM has the right to disqualify any participant on this ground.

8. All kinds of props must be handled with utmost care and not harmful to other people. Any kind of pyrotechnic equipment/s that will be used as props that could render damage to the venue and/or property is strictly prohibited.

9. he SATIN ECLIPSE cosplay team, CANE EVENTS organizers and its staff will not be held responsible for damage or injury resulting from mishandling and/or negligence of a cosplayer in his/her use of props/materials throughout the duration of the event.

10.Judges' decisions are final and can�t be appealed.

11. SATINE ECLIPSE organizers reserve the right to disqualify any cosplayer who ignores and/or violates any of the aforementioned guidelines.

12. Registration and participation to the cosplay event constitutes that the cosplayer gives the right and the authority to SATINE ECLIPSE organizers/staff, its sponsors and authorized press media to take pictures and/or videos of registered cosplayers, cosplay groups and its members and will be the sole property of the organizers/staff, its sponsors and authorized press media to be used for future publications and/or advertising promotions.

13. Organizers and its staff and their relatives up to the 2nd degree of affinity or consanguinity are disqualified from participating in the cosplay event.

Individual Cosplay Guidelines

1. There will be no entry limit for the Individual Cosplay event. There is a deadline for the registration and anyone who registers before the deadline is included to the official list of Individual Cosplay participants.

2. Cosplay registration for the SATINE ECLIPSE Individual Cosplay event will be both online pre-registration and on-site/at-con registration.

3. The online pre-registration will be done through the Cosplay.ph Cosplay Pre-Registration Page.

4. Pre-registrants who fail to confirm their registration from 10am-1pm on October 31, 2009 the organizers has the right to forfeit their pre-registered slots and will be given to the on-site Individual Cosplay registrants.

5. Individual Cosplay participants are only allowed to have a maximum of two (2) human props.

6. Individual Cosplay participants will be given name tags that must be worn at the event venue at all times.

7. Individual Cosplay participants are not qualified to join the Group Cosplay event even as a cameo role or as a prop.

Group Cosplay Guidelines

1. A cosplay group must strictly consist of at least five (5) and a maximum of ten (10) members per group. Any group that lacks/exceeds to the set number of participants will be disqualified. Human props and the Cosplay Group�s Technical Director are included in the member count.

2. A cosplay group member is only allowed to join in one cosplay group.

3. A member of a particular cosplay group is not qualified to join the Individual cosplay event.

4. Cosplay registration for the group cosplay will be both online pre-registration and on-site/at-con registration.

5. The online pre-registration will be done through the Cosplay.ph Cosplay Pre-Registration Page.

6. All cosplay groups are required to have a cosplay skit. Each cosplay group will be given a maximum of 7 minutes of stage time to do their skits.

7. All BGMs that will be used for the cosplay skit must be in audio format (.CDA) or in MP3 format and must be within the limit of their cosplay skit. Audio CDs must be properly labeled and submitted at the event itself upon registration. A cosplay group is required to have a technical director who will assist the SATIN ECLIPSE technical team in the usage of their CDs.
