imo, they're trying to compensate with the soundtrack because they know its obviously the gayest movie since the first. i mean, holy mother of gag just what the hell is OK GO doing on that list? or the Killers? the previous bands where uhm, forgivable suffice to say,(linkin fart etc etc) but not Thom Yorke. nah..

That's the problem with this message board. Instead of airing out their 'opinions', they (forum members) ridicule, hence preventing fruitful discussions from taking place. Thread-crapping is a common practice that revolves within these forums, which is sad, really.

well ya cant blame kids these days if they prefer linkin fart(not sure with the spelling sorry) instead of dream theater. but dont get me wrong, i listen to both bands. its just that, ya know what i mean. ehe.

@Roel Quejada: sir, just a simple question for you do you ever listen to any of the bands/artist mentioned on the first post? coz seriously, i got this weird feeling that linkin fart(not sure with the spelling sorry) is the only "rock" band you're familiar with. but they're good. yeah. by the way, im asking you this because i want to help you on how you can contribute something for this thread. something helpful.

both Linkin Park and Dream Theater are good. Both rocks. I like them both...

yah nindot jud ang soundtrack sa New Moon. It's a great vehicle for these artists para ma known ila work sa mainstream para atleast ma expose pod sila and kids will be expose to more great music....

Death Cab for Cutie? Bon Iver? Grizzly Bear? I love them. But I think I love them better when they have their own niche following. Sure being on this OST gives them more exposure but I'm worried about this new batch of followers they're sure gonna get. I do think the people in charge for the movie are over compensating by having these bands in. They're downplaying the obvious teeny booper aspects of it by catering to the hipster crowd.

i think depende raman cguro gihapon di ay. i mean last year Iron and Wine's FLightless Bird was in the soundtrack and it even got played on mainstream radio pero murag dili man gihapon popular ang Iron and Wine sa mga teeny boppers ug mainstream fans. Then they made a deluxe edition of Twilight OST and it included some bonus songs including O.A.R. Then a bonus DVD with some music videos including Iron and Wine pero ala man gihapon mo click sa mga teenagers nga ganahan ug Paramore.

I think depende ra jud cguro ni sa banda ug kanta.

Death Cab For Cutie sikat naman jud ni daan sa mga teeny boppers since their Atlantic Records debut Plans especially kato kanta I Will Follow You Into The Dark. Now that their song is the carrier single sa New Moon, mas mosamot ni sila ka sikat sa mga teenagers since sikat naman sila daan.

Ang the rest of the band i dunno. Hopefully.

Expect the yungins to. Even if it was an old single, Supermassive Black Hole got pretty popular when Twilight came out. Same goes for Iron & Wine. Of course, I'm not saying this is a bad thing.
