still, it boils down to this : faith. if you believe in god, then you would say that we are indeed wired to seek a higher being that is beyond us and our knowledge. and if you dont believe in god, you would say that it's just a result of some chemical reactions and stimulations in our brain.

in my opinion, discussions like this would just go around in circles because one would not want his belief/opinion to be beaten by those who believes otherwise.

we humans are hardwired to try and make a sense out of our experiences.

and creating gods is a good temporary explanation for natural phenomenons we can't explain.

I'm glad it had been shown that it's perfectly normal to believe in a God.

Yes! it's all in the mind this God is- for now. I still got 40 plus years of ideal lifespan, unless I will die from something else..then I will know if there is God or not really..but I hope there is.

there are two kinds oF GOD..
the One who made us and the one we made...

in my belief GOD made us believe that he existed he is the One who created us..
for the god that man made, to justify things that they can or will never be able to explain...(dieties, gods and goddesses, idols)

so GOD is either made by man or HE made man...

I've been open-minded regarding the questions as either God exist or not...

There are compelling evidence that GOD exist equal to the notion that HE don't exist...Common sense tells us HIS non-existence - but "common sense (also) tells us that the world is flat" as quoted from Mr. Einstein...Physics also cannot conclude as of now, even the new-agers' favorite quantum physics can both agree or disagree...Dr. Fred Alan Wolf's claims are good but then again Rober Anton Wilson's Quantum Phsychology makes more sense...and so on and so forth...

I've been a Theist, Pan-theist (not pronounced as "panty-yes") and a hardcore Atheist one time in my life...

Being a Theist/Pan-theist you have to adopt many spirtual models or choices, you can have it either GOD is a master or not...GOD created man or the other-wise, man has N bodies (n = no. of bodies).... etc., even as weird as it can get.....

Being an Atheist is simple...there is no GOD...


After all I concluded...It's just a matter of choice...whatever you're comfortable at, not a big issue...
